Important info
Pros: Great Mobo.
Cons: Important info left out of Book.
Overall Review: The book has instructions for how to install 1 GPU in Slot PCIE-2, & does not have any info about where to install another GPU to get SLI to work & settings to appear in Nvidia or Geforce driver Software. I had to call MSI to find out "install the 2nd GPU in Slot PCIE-5 to get X16 + X16 & for the settings to appear in the Software. The check boxes you should see to Enable or Disable SLI & other Modes did not appear for me when I installed the 2nd GPU in Slot PCIE-4, not knowing it would not work. For 2 GPU's it's slot PCIE-2 & 5 to get SLI to work & get settings to appear in the Software, otherwise the settings will not appear.
Why only one PCIE X16 Slot, & more.
Cons: I don't understand why only one PCIE X16 slot if you want to use Crossfire GPU's. That's a stepdown in Performance. Same thing goes for the M.2 Slots. Only one is X16 & the other is X8. if you want to setup Raid. Why did they do that ?. I didn't like the bios either & the Book states that if you run Raid, you loose function on SATA Ports 5 & 6. That don't make any sense either. For these reasons I applied for a Refund.
Overall Review: No
I love it !
Pros: I have a review here already & I love the features on this Mobo. I just wanted to add that I'd love to see a new Mobo just like this one, with the same features for AMD+ FX CPU compliant for use with DDR 4 :)
Cons: None
Overall Review: I'm waiting for MSI to have a new Mobo with the same features as this one for AMD FX CPU's & DDR 4 compliance.
10 degrees cooler then original for me.
Pros: I have the original V8 & this GTS mounted on twin MSI 990FXA-GD80 Motherboards with the same FX 8350 CPU's & the temp difference is 10 degrees cooler using the GTS. I like that.
Cons: It's huge & for full tower case's only.
