Absolute Masterpiece! Possible GOTY

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Xbox 360 Game
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Xbox 360 Game

Pros: Oh man, this game flat out rocks! Graphics: 9.5/10 - Will remind you of WoW Graphics mixed with realistic human features. Story line: 9/10 - Will remind you of WoW lore crossed with Oblivions immersive depth. Gameply / Combat: 10/10 - Hybrid of G-d of War, Batman Arkham City, Fable III, Castlevania: Lords of Shadows and a bit of WoW (rogue and warrior). KoA:R is easily the best action (third person) combat system ever. The character actually moves like a real human would if he or she were swinging a 80 pound hammer or sword - friking awesome! No robot like, stiff and fakey animations here! Sound: 10/10 - Gushing daggers, sweeping smashing great swords explosive magic. The sounds make you almost feel what you're seeing on the screen. Music: 9/10 - Will remind you of LoTR and the movie Gladiator with a mystical classical twist of oboes and lutes. Fades in and out. Very enjoyable mood music. Length of Game: 10/10 - Easily an epic 150-200 hour game. 9.5/10 Overall

Cons: You will have to play the game on the hardest setting. The easy and normal setting is too easy. This game is too easy in the beginning (1-10 levels) even on hard. But it seems to be made like that for tutorial purposes (because it's so huge you will need it to figure everything out). Once you bet to level 15 or more you will start gettin crushed if you don't use all tactics available like shild blocking shield bashing, dive rolling, blinking stun locking etc... See even the cons are actually Pros, that's how awesome this game is! Not really a con, just a bit of extra info.

Overall Review: Mass Effect 3 and RE ORC have their work cut out for them in terms of being the top dog of 2012. Kingdoms of Amalur might end up being Game of the Year - Yes it's that good. It's one of my favorites already and I've only had it since wednesday and have logged a little over 20 hours and have only completed a little less than 10% of the game! Don't try and compare it to Skyrim, they are two totally different types of games altogether. KoA:R is more of a hybrid type of game that seems to be a completely new genre. It's a ME2 RPG mixed with 3rd person magic and melee combat mixed with 80% sandbox free roam like Arkham City. KoA:R ranks up there with Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect 2 and Deus Ex Human Revolution as my personal all time favorite games on the xbox360. It's one of those games that you can't put down and end up going on marathon 8-16 hour epic all night gaming adventures. This game is friking HUGE! 2-3 hour a day gamers will take half a year or more to complete.

$500 piece of garbage.

SAMSUNG 850 PRO 2.5" 1TB SATA III 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-7KE1T0BW

Pros: +quiet compared to my old WD velociraptor. +made skyrim ENB / 2-4k textures run faster and less stuttering in game.

Cons: -windows hangs on M$ updates after fresh win 7 install -random BSOD all the time. -surfs the internet slower than my old WD velociraptor -boots to desktop only a tiny bit faster faster than my WD velociraptor -firmware seems to have made it worse - getting more and more BSOD everytime i update the firmware.

Overall Review: if you want to throw away a lot of money just flush it down the toilet and save yourself some time and frustration, the 850 pro (1tb) ssd is a piece of trash and i don't care what tech website says otherwise. 100% headaches and money NOT well spent.

EVGA GTX 1080 FTW = Amazing!

EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0, 08G-P4-6286-KR, 8GB GDDR5X, RGB LED, 10CM FAN, 10 Power Phases, Double BIOS, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC)
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0, 08G-P4-6286-KR, 8GB GDDR5X, RGB LED, 10CM FAN, 10 Power Phases, Double BIOS, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC)

Pros: -crazy fast -crazy cool -crazy quiet -crazy sexy looking HSF/shroud with RGB going -crazy high quality build and parts -crazy sexy backplate although i wish it had none. i'm old school and don't like backplates, they trap heat. but it is cool enough to be a pro for me.

Cons: -the card is absolutely HUGE! someone else described it as the size of a dictionary, that's pushing it a bit but not by much, this card is GIGANTIC! the card is so big that when i pushed it down into the pci-e slot, of my asrock x79 extreme6, it rested (pressed) firmly down on the sata ports, i didn't think it would start when i fired it up for the first time. whew! that was a close call!

Overall Review: ok. so this card is flat out amazing. it runs so cool that the fans almost never even spin while gaming because the acx 3.0 is so good they don't even need to spin. and when they do spin they are absolutely whisper quiet. i have cooler master case fans and noctua silent CPU heat sink fans on my noctua CPU cooler and they are easily louder than the gtx 1080 ftw fans are - unbelievable! the RGB LED lights are super cool! i thought this was a gimmick before i bought this card and i'm not into all these lights all over the place and whatnot. but they aren't so bright that they would annoy you, they aren't like the light on the front of your monitor that almost blinds you because it is so annoyingly bright. i have to admit, this is the one time glowing lights inside a pc case actually excite me, they are VERY cool looking when changing colors. the fans don't even start spinning until the card hits 60C so the card is 100% silent while gaming. the only time i have heard them spin is when i run firestrike or heaven 4.0 and even then they are about say 75% more quiet than my titan black SC. i can barely hear them running. the card runs so cool it's AMAZING! it runs so cool that i don't even know what to think. i have been gaming on pc since apple IIe way back in 1983 and i have seen a lot of amazing things, this card might be the most amazing thing ever. when i play games like gtaV, middle earth: shadow of mordor, fallout 4, rise of the tomb raider, far cry 3 etc.. the fans don't even spin because the temps are so low. when i played those same games on my old titan black SC the fan were like "swooosh" howling and it ran hot at 82C-83C. but this card run hot and / or loud? NOPE! it is 100% silent and absolutely cool as ice. freakishly cool! best thing in pc gaming EVER! system specs: i7 3930k (not OC'd) with noctua nh- u12s cooler asrock extreme6 x79 EVGA GTX 1080 FTW 16gb gskill 1600mhz ram samsung 850 pro 1tb ssd seasonic x-850 PSU cooler master haf xb evo case here are the max temps of games i played so far on ultra / max settings: -sniper elite III - 40C -assassin's creed black flag - 43C -far cry 3 - 43C -dying light - 43C -middle earth: shadow of mordor 43C -GTAV - 52C -fallout 4 - 52C -rise of the tomb raider - 58C (this game isn't optimized so don't waste your money, game was maxed out very high settings, the GPU load was only at 46% and it still has microstuttering in geothermal valley - squaresoft / crystal dynamics sucks) -witcher III with mods - 58C -unigine heaven 4.0 - 62C (score =2878 - stock / not overclocked) -firestrike - 62C (score 17817 - stock / not overclocked) buy this EVGA FTW gtx 1080 and not some other brand. this is easily the best video card i have ever owned, i highly recommend!

amazing product!

Noctua NH-U12S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-F12 120mm Fan (Brown)
Noctua NH-U12S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-F12 120mm Fan (Brown)

Pros: i bought this awhile back when i built my gaming rig (with i7 3939k CPU). and out of all the parts that i built that rig with, this is easily the most impressive one of all. i have my i7 3930k locked at 4.2 ghz with all cores unparked (which makes it run hotter than usual) and it gets up to around 66-67 C max, but that is only when i am running a really CPU intense game. the rest of the time it usually only gets up to around 54-57ish and idles at 45C. but if i park my cores it idles around 35C (i'm saying you you don't unpark your cores it should idle around 35C)

Cons: ZERO cons.

Overall Review: you DO NOT need a big, giant, crazy, oversized cooler like the nh-d14 if you are only going to be gaming. those coolers are for MAJOR overclocks that push your CPU to the limit. the nh-u12s will do fine if you are only looking to get to around 4.2 ghz with cores unparked and 4.4ghz with cores parked. i decided to add this to my review because when i was about to build my rig i kept putting it off, for at least an entire year, because i couldn't find a cpu cooler that wasn't as big as a HEMI that would do a good job like this one does. don't stress yourself out, just get this and roll if you are only going to game and use a average 4.2-4.4. OC. just make sure you visit the noctua website to check and see that it is compatible with your motherboard and case. it is somewhat tall and not all ram will fit under it but most ram will. -noctua nh-u12s (i rate perfect 10/10) -i7 3930k -evga titan black sc -G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8Q-16GBZH -x79 asrock extreme6 mobo -samsung 850 pro SSD -coolermaster haf xb evo case -seasonic x-850 PSU

ZOOOOOM! Crazy Fast!

EVGA 06G-P4-3793-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX TITAN BLACK Superclocked Signature 6GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card
EVGA 06G-P4-3793-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX TITAN BLACK Superclocked Signature 6GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Pros: well then... this card is all that and much more; flatout flying fast! what can i say, it's a freakishly fast, modern miracle of technological wonder. don't think twice, just buy one as soon as it becomes available. honestly, i don't know where to begin - totally awestruck... i got some awesome help from evga customer support at 1:30 a.m. on a sunday morning (yes you read that correctly) for some temperature problems i was having due to me screwing up my precision voltage and fan speeds. evga helped me fix it lickety split with an uninstall, a clean reinstall, and a few slight fan curve adjustments. now i can run heaven 4.0 in a continuous loop and the card doesn't go above 68C with the fan running at a low to moderate speed, it's real nice and quiet without ever ramping up.

Cons: there are no cons with this card except the price i suppose. but you get what you pay for and this card is flat out awesome! you only live once, go for it!

Overall Review: evga customer support is flat out fantastic! that alone is reason enough to buy this card over their competitor. evga will not only go an extra mile to help you out if you have any type of problem, they will go an extra 10,000 miles while bending over backwards to help you out. seriously now, think about this for a second.. -customer support -over the phone -at 1:30 am on a sunday morning... wow, that is unheard of! and you absolutely will not get that from the other company who is selling their titan black cards on newegg, not in a million years... cpu: i7 3930k hsf: noctua nh-u12s ram: g.skill 16gb (4x4) 1600mhz F3-12800CL8Q-16GBZH motherboard: asrock x79 extreme6 video card: evga titan black superclocked signature series 06g-p4-3793-kr. power supply: seasonic x-850 HDD: western digital velociraptor 500gb case: coolermaster haf xb evo

Excellent LCD Monitor

ViewSonic 19" Active Matrix, TFT LCD SXGA LCD Monitor 2 ms 1280 x 1024 D-Sub, DVI-D X Series VX922
ViewSonic 19" Active Matrix, TFT LCD SXGA LCD Monitor 2 ms 1280 x 1024 D-Sub, DVI-D X Series VX922

Pros: The VX922 has a bright crisp, clear display and is great for gaming. It will run anything you throw at it with little or no blurring or ghosting.

Cons: This product has a wobbly and flimsy stand. It moves sways back and forth when my knee or feet hit the dest or when i pull my chair up close to the desk and hit it withthe front seat of the chair. this is the only reason i gave it a 4 out of 5 eggs. other than this flaw it's the perfect non-widescreen monitor for ANY application

Overall Review: It's not a widescreen and since Bill Gates Vista favors widescreens and doesn't like to approve of non-widescreens you might want to think of purchasing a widescreen because we all know M$ and it's henchmen hardware manufacturing companies are forcing everyone to buy what THEY feel is best for you... This is something you might want to consider before purchasing this or any non-widescreen lcd monitor for it seems these non -widescreens will be going out of style within the next 2 years and are considered by many already out of date. If you decide to go with a widescreen lcd i suggest going with the Samsung 226bw, the one i almost bought at circuit city before i bought this one but didn't because the salespeople don't know how to wait on customers.
