Pros: Easy to setup. Extremely fast read/write speeds. (I got the 1515+ model with enterprise class HDs) Expandability is a big plus. Its a really heavy appliance and its a mean looking one. (looks like a safe) The UPS package said 71lbs on the tracking info. Once i dragged it to where it was gonna reside, i plugged it into a router, hooked up my laptop to a switch, and was rolling in less than 5 minutes. Gave it a static IP, mapped it to my servers and it was smooth sailing. This is a solid investment for a business with the need to backup large amount of data (5TB in my case) that cannot be efficiently backed up to cloud solutions. I can only imagine how long it would take to upload 5TB of data (not to mention the cost)
Cons: Its a very expensive unit for a NAS Server. Not necessarily a "CON" since what you are really paying for is the disaster recovery/protection it offers.
Overall Review: This is a great appliance for disaster recovery and the only alternative to cloud solutions for and affordable large amount of data to be backed up to. Fire resistant, waterproof.
