Does the job
Pros: It works!
Cons: Doesn't come with bacon.
Overall Review: It's exactly what you'd expect. Nothing more, nothing less.
Worked well ... for about a year
Pros: While it worked, it worked well.
Cons: During the last couple of months, I noticed it wouldn't always be recognized right away when first inserted into a USB port and would need to be reinserted. Tonight, it stopped working; while plugged into a USB port, it slowly becomes hotter and hotter.
Overall Review: I purchased it from newegg on 5-19-2012. It lasted two days shy of a year. Is that long enough? I think not. Sure, USB flash drives can be fickle devices, but if it doesn't last at least two years then it's a waste of money.
Not Advanced Format - 4KB native
Pros: Affordable. Seems fast enough
Cons: 4KB native drive with no option that I know of to use Advanced Format (i.e., 512b logical sectors)
Overall Review: If you want to do drive cloning between an external 4TB drive and a standard internal 4TB Advanced Format SATA drive, DON'T BUY THIS DRIVE. You will not be able clone to or from this drive to an Advanced Format drive. It's extremely disappointing to find that Western Digital has the option to format their 4TB drives with 512b logical sectors but Seagate does not. I spent $160 or so on this drive only to find out the hard way that it's essentially useless for my purposes.
Works great until it doesn't
Pros: When it worked, it worked well.
Cons: Failure rate is way too high on this series of RAM. Looking at the previous reviews, I'm lucky my sticks lasted as long as they did. I bought 4x 2GB dimms (2 4GB kits). One of the dimms in the first kit went bad after two years; Crucial replaced the kit. One of the dimms in the seond kit went bad earlier this week. In response to my RMA request, Crucial just e-mailed me to tell me that they no longer stock this memory for replacement. It's just as well. I like my RAM to last longer than two years!
