Can't complain given the price!
Pros: Easy to use; 1-touch operation Small Not ugly Lightweight Non-stick rice bowl Haven't had it boil over or fail to cook properly, yet
Cons: Rice is not as high quality as indirect heating Rice left on "warm" gets a bit crisp on the outside after a while
Overall Review: This is inexpensive and handy so it's well worth the money I spent. It doesn't make the quality of rice as one would get from indirect cooking, but those cookers are more expensive and less attractive. It's nice to be able to make rice easily and not have to watch it, and the rice is as good as you would get from a stove. I give this 4/5 eggs for quality vs usefulness, but when considering PRICE, the value makes it a 5-egg item.
Good features but terrible, cheap quality!
Pros: Stereo line or mic recording Flexibility of recording formats (WAV, MP3 etc) High Quality recording formats (high bandwith) Price for features
Cons: Cheap construction. VERY cheap. Almost inaudiable playback from built-in speakers (very very low volume; cannot be heard in public or outdoors) Low USB transfer rate Price for quality (the features seem to make it a good deal, but the low quality prompts me to put price on the CON side as well)
Overall Review: I got this recorder as a way to not only record memos to myself but to record in HQ stereo. Seems hard to find a portable recorder capable of that without either being mono or forced into highly compressed formats. I didn't expect it to be too high quality because of the comparatively low price, but I was dismayed just how "toy-ish" the case and controls felt. It's hard to give it a rating until I've owned it a little while. I'm giving it 3 eggs because of the features but the quality would have been worth two. Were it of a higher quality, four eggs would have been warranted. I may come back with an update. I can live with a cheap "feel" of the buttons as long as they don't actually fail on me. How long it lasts will greatly impact whether it's worth it. That and the other types of recording I have not tried yet. Time will tell. But I offer a caveat to those considering buying it. Beware that the extreme low quality of this item bears serious consideration before you buy.
Falls FAR short of 2600pp!
Pros: It worked, it was reasonably easy to install.
Cons: This product either falls woefully short of claims, or the one I got was only partially filled. The counter on my printer is barely past 1600 - which also includes the original toner which came with the printer (which lasted over 500pp). Which implies this toner, despite being "high yield", has yielded scarcely 1000 pages. I've not been printing any heavily graphics-laden pages and most of my multi-page print jobs were plain text with plenty of white space. Even if I were using twice the print density as expected, this toner still comes up well short of the purported 2600pp claim. Print quality was OK but never great. There was a little unevenness to any large print areas.
I have to give this the same rating as the download version
Pros: Decent program which gets a basic job done for what it's intended (which is not as much as it used to be).
Cons: Missing Schedule C, which it always had for years prior. No ample warning given. I just ran in to the message "Premier is no longer adequate for your tax situation" (which it always was before).
Overall Review: I'm giving a condensed version of my review for the download version, since essentially it's the same program. Bottom line, if TurboTax doesn't bring back Schedule C to Premier, I would not even consider TurboTax for 2015. Even so, this is the time to investigate the alternatives. When a company wants to milk money by removing key features that have been part of a given product for years, in the hopes you'll be stuck and need to upgrade, that's when that company loses trust, in my eyes. I would have not been so incentivized to look around had Intuit not done this.
Loses eggs for removing previous features
Pros: The software does the job. While it hasn't upgraded capabilities in quite a few years, it does have reasonable tools. It's a solid product I've been using for quite a few years.
Cons: In addition to TTax not truly updating its capabilities, in 2014 several of its products were downgraded of key schedules. Most pertinent to Premier is that Schedule C, in any form, is no longer included. Don't believe the matrix on the Intuit website; when you hit Sch C, you are told, if you try to enter Sch C data, "TurboTax no longer supports your tax situation". Well, thanks a lot, TurboTax. A product we depend on for years to do a job now no longer does the same job it used to. If you want to hike the price, go ahead. But don't get slimy and try to force us into a new product by trying to catch us with our pants down.
Overall Review: I'll be watching TurboTax very closely over this next year. If Schedule C isn't returned to Premier, and if the previous features aren't returned to Deluxe, I will certainly be kissing Intuit goodbye for 2015. Indeed, I may not be a customer next year, anyway. Intuit lost a lost of trust with this latest stunt, and I will be looking around for alternatives this year.
Still working. Which is good, since it was cheap!
Pros: It was inexpensive and it continued to work, which is more than I can say for other adapters I've had which didn't even accommodate so many card types.
Cons: Cheap feel, sometimes it's hard to get the cards in just right. I'm always worried I'll break one.
Overall Review: I have used this with older laptops as well as putting in the car which had a USB input, in order to use old SD cards for music whilst driving.
