Nice Mainboard

MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 FM2 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 FM2 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: - Great specs for the price - Successful POST first time and every time - Lots of USB ports - Looks great - Solid - BIOS UI looks great

Cons: - Back O/I plate very flimsy - BIOS not as intuitive as it should be

Overall Review: This is not my first build and this board has been nothing but a dream compared with others I have used. Sure the board does not have all the bells and whistles but for the price you cannot beat it. I did not tweak any of the BIOS settings out of the gate and I did not turn on the auto update feature (which seemed kind of dangerous to me) so I am not experiencing issues mentioned in other posts. Here my machine specs: - AMD A10 processor - G. Skill 16GB 1600 memory (8GB x 2) - Rosewill 450watt ps - Windows 7 x64 I plugged everything in, turned it on, installed Windows and have not had one issue. The board is rock solid and stress free for me.

Most Critical Review

Uncomfortable and heavy

Logitech H340 USB Connector Supra-aural Headset
Logitech H340 USB Connector Supra-aural Headset

Pros: Comfortable on the ears, good sound in terms of people talking. Easy to set up.

Cons: Very uncomfortable on top of the head; there is no 'comfort' piece on the head. In fact, there are just two plastic sharp rails that rests on top of your head - ouch. The unit is quite heavy which makes the situation with the head piece worse.

Overall Review: Very easy to use and set up. I use it as a headset for tech support calls from home. The audio in and out is sufficient for my purpose. However, after wearing the headset for longer than a couple of minutes my head starts to hurt; not good when you are on tech support all day. I have not run into the sudden death situation that others are having issues with so a simple pad on the headset would have boosted my rating to 5 stars.

Nice router so far

NETGEAR Wireless Router - N300 (WNR2000)
NETGEAR Wireless Router - N300 (WNR2000)

Pros: Very easy to upgrade from old router. Nice range, running max speed two stories up. For the price, it has many neat features like guest network and parental controls. The user interface for the admin tool is very nice and modern looking. Works very well right out of the box, all of my devices found it instantly.

Cons: The only con I have is the vertical design. Purely personal taste and has nothing to do with functionality.

Overall Review: I plan to get a Netgear adapter for my aging laptop in hopes to get 300Mbps on my internal network. I will try to report how that works out. I have not had the router long but I would recommend it for ease of set up,

Awesome monitor!

Zalman 23" LCD Monitor 5 ms D-Sub, DVI MZ230ED
Zalman 23" LCD Monitor 5 ms D-Sub, DVI MZ230ED

Pros: A great monitor. I would expect to pay a lot more for what I got. I play high end games, use office programs, the usual stuff most everyone does and this monitor is great. Pros: Picture quality, Size, Price, Ease of use, Functionality, Price, weight (very light).

Cons: Absolutely none!

Overall Review: I paid twice as much for a Viewsonic and received a monitor with three stuck pixels and not nearly the features or the quality of picture. Sure the Viewsonic is nice and sturdy and the speakers sound good but I do not buy a monitor based on how sturdy the stand is or how good the speakers sound. I buy a monitor that has a great picture and easy to look at, and fortunately this one also looks great sitting on my desk.

Very impressed

AMD A10-5800K - A-Series APU Trinity Quad-Core 3.8 GHz Socket FM2 100W AMD Radeon HD 7660D Desktop APU (CPU + GPU) with DirectX 11 Graphic - AD580KWOHJBOX
AMD A10-5800K - A-Series APU Trinity Quad-Core 3.8 GHz Socket FM2 100W AMD Radeon HD 7660D Desktop APU (CPU + GPU) with DirectX 11 Graphic - AD580KWOHJBOX

Pros: I wanted to wait a while after my purchase to see how this thing did. I was very reluctant to purchase a processor that touts itself as half CPU and half GPU. I was not reluctant about the CPU, as I have relied on AMD for years and they have never let me down. I was not certain the GPU could handle a couple of the games I enjoy; Max Payne, NFS. I must say the A10-5800K does not disappoint. The one I own runs non stop, is super fast, and the graphics are very nice; all of that at stock speed. The graphics worked as I hoped with every game I play configured to the highest graphics settings with no problems. I am running Google chrome with any number of tabs active, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Remote Desktop, Windows Media player, the list goes on and on. The point is you do not have to worry about running many "typical" office type programs all at one time; just make sure you have enough memory, this machine is running with 16GB.

Cons: No cons.

Overall Review: I would recommend this processor if you do not want to sink money into a graphics card. If you are interested in playing games, do some research before you purchase to see if the processor can handle the games you want to play. Not dealing with a separate graphics card really gives more room in the machine's case and makes building the machine less complicated .

Great RAM

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin PC RAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9D-16GXM

Pros: -Fast -G. Skill -Easy to install -No issue with recognition -Fast -Great specs -They look awesome -Nice packaging

Cons: None at all so far.

Overall Review: I like everything about this memory. I built a new machine with the AMD A10 processor and could not be more pleased with the performance for what I need it to do. There is nothing worse than undependable memory and so far I have not stressed one bit about this memory. I know from experience this is not always the case. Thanks G. Skill for making a quality product.
