40w equiv LED bulb
Pros: Appears to be equivalent to 40W incandescent although I do not have equipment to test candlepower. Color is good, equivalent to incandescent. No flickering when dimmed. Compatible with X-10 devices, low power usage
Cons: Cost is still high, once someone comes out with something that competes price will probably come down. Metal base gets quite warm, warmer than CFL but still cooler than incandescent
You get what you pay for
Pros: Large screen for the money, easy set up, good off center viewing, lots and lots of inputs
Cons: Awful Terrible Really Bad sound quality-tinny, hollow, no matter what adjustments are made. Remote control must be aimed exactly at sensor to make it work. Not able to manually enter channels, so if OTA TV channels have weak signal, and auto scanner does not find them try adjusting antenna, if possible, then auto scan again. Good Luck with that.
Overall Review: Just cannot describe just how bad the sound quality is! Better with a couple tin cans. I've only owned this for a very short time, we'll see how well it ages.
Not Ready for Prime Time
Pros: Low power usage
Cons: Although labeled as equivalent to 40W incandescent it is not even close being much lower in cadlepower than advertised. Emits a dim blue-ish light NOT equivalent in color spectrum to incandescent or CFLs. May not turn off completely with a "no off position" dimmer. Will not turn off with X-10 dimmers.
