Great memory!

G.SKILL TridentX Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C7D-16GTX
G.SKILL TridentX Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C7D-16GTX

Pros: Running stable at stock settings of 7-8-8-24-30-2T which is perfectly fine for what I'm doing.

Cons: Not really a con but worth mentioning. There is an earlier review that states these can run at 1T and that may be true but I was not personally able to achieve this. 2T offers much better stability on the board I'm using - Asus M4N98TD EVO.

Overall Review: I'm quite impressed with this memory and it certainly gave me a speed boost over the 4 GB of memory I was using prior. If you're looking for some good memory with tighter timings for an AMD machine this is definitely worth the money.

Great!

G.SKILL PIS 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Desktop Memory Model F3-16000CL7D-4GBPIS
G.SKILL PIS 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Desktop Memory Model F3-16000CL7D-4GBPIS

Pros: Great memory! Fast and no problems yet! Running at 1600 mhz with an amd phenom II x6 core.

Cons: Newegg discontinued it! Not worth docking an egg cause it has nothing to do with the product but I'm saddened by this move by newegg because I don't want to go with a different kind of memory... OH well...

Overall Review: Was able to mess with the timings on my mb and managed to get the timings of this ram to the advertised specs at 2000mhz although I'm not sure it's worth it. Probably better with quicker timings although I haven't tested yet...

Great!

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition - Phenom II X6 Thuban 6-Core 3.2 GHz Socket AM3 125W Desktop Processor - HDT90ZFBGRBOX
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition - Phenom II X6 Thuban 6-Core 3.2 GHz Socket AM3 125W Desktop Processor - HDT90ZFBGRBOX

Pros: Great CPU with awesome computing power! 6 Cores which will serve you well from gaming to multi-tasking applications in windows or whatever else it may be!

Cons: None!

Overall Review: Awesome price for the best AMD processor available! I was originally going for a Phenom II x4 965 but after some deep thought I decided to just shell out the extra money and go with this! I haven't been dissapointed in the slightest and I know that I'll have a competative processor for several years to come. The one thing I wanted the higher end processor for was games, even though most games only use one or two cores, I felt that just going ahead and getting a 6 core would be beneficial later on, plus it's great for multi-tasking and clearly there will be no room for slowdown with a x6 core processor running in conjunction with dual SLI'ed Geforce GTX 470's, and 8 gigs of ram.... woooohooo!!

Awsome!

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional 70SB088600002 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Express x1 Interface Sound Card
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional 70SB088600002 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Express x1 Interface Sound Card

Pros: This thing has amazing sound and awsome features. All of my songs play crystal clear and speaking of crystal, enabling the crystalizer feature on this sound card really makes a difference in your songs played on winamp/windows media player, or whatever else you play stuff through. Sound in games is awsome as well and I've noticed as much as 10-15 FPS increase in games such as WoW(I'm sure other games would benefit as well).

Cons: Not worth docking an egg but the drivers on the disk were out of date, no really a problem considering you can just download the latest ones off the internet(which you ALWAYS want to do anyhow) I've never used drivers off any disc I've recieved with the hardware.

Overall Review: I know alot of people think that nowadays you don't need a good sound card due to the fact that onboard so "so good" but in all honesty if you're gaming and only focusing on a graphics card...you're missing out on the other half of stuff that the game developers had in mind(which is sound). Onboard sound steals cycles from the CPU which affects performance in games and other sound intensive applications. I would highly recommend a sound card to any gamer as this takes the burden off the CPU. Games will run much smoother if you disable your onboard sound and go straight through the sound card - Sound quality is very pure with this card. Highly recommended!

Great card!

EVGA GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi) 1280MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 012-P3-1470-AR
EVGA GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi) 1280MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 012-P3-1470-AR

Pros: This card has great performance and the price isn't too ad either when you consider you're getting a high end graphics card. I definitely plan to get another one of these beasts and run it in SLI!

Cons: Not as of yet

Overall Review: For those who have been commenting that this card runs too hot either by itself or in SLI I would suggest you go and download MSI Afterburner. This simple program not only allows you to overclock the card but also allows you to change the cards fan speed - If you turn it up to about 75-80% there will be a bit of a noise increase but it will stay around 50c which isn't too bad.

Great board

ASUS M4N98TD EVO AM3 NVIDIA nForce 980a SLI ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS M4N98TD EVO AM3 NVIDIA nForce 980a SLI ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: I was originally trying to decide weather I wanted to go with Triple SLI on the MSI NF980-G65 board or with a board(this one) which would support a x6 core processor out of the box. I ended up deciding to go with this board obviously and I wasn't dissapointed in the slightest. - I've managed to get the ram running at 1600mhz although I've read on google that 2000 is achievable. - Recognized my 1090T x6 core AMD Thuban just fine. Not having to flash the bios ahead of time made for a nice and easy install of Windows 7 - Great stock cooling - Copper heat pipe and heat sinks really do a good job of keeping the board and system cool. - Awsome features on board such as Mem OK! And the Core Unlocker for enthusiasts.

Cons: Not really cons in my opinion but if you're someone who is in love with your pci slots and you plan on running SLI then you may want to look elsewhere. I plan on running two Geforce GTX 470's in SLI and after I've done that it will leave me with one pci express(top slot) and one pci slot(middle slot) to work with. The other slots will be entirely blocked out. Also... be careful if you're running a ram cooler such as the G. Skill or Corsair fans. I had trouble fitting my ram cooler in after installing my Spin Q cooler on the processor. Things get tight fairly quickly with the size of components these days.

Overall Review: If you're looking for a nicely priced board that comes with an updated bios, good features(x6 core support, overclocking options, etc), run two cards in 16x16 SLI then I'd highly recommend this. This was my first Asus motherboard as I am normally an MSI guy, however, after much contemplation and comparing I decided tri sli just didn't make sense, plus I didn't want to update the bios on the msi board. The price on the MSI board was also higher. I will definitely be sticking with Asus from here on out I think...
