Hanns-G HW-191APB Black 19" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 700:1 Built-in Speakers
Hanns-G HW-191APB Black 19" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 700:1 Built-in Speakers

Pros: In a year and A half this monitor was everything it was supposed to be and more. Easy side menus and buttons and a nice sturdy base.

Cons: The base isn't moveable - it has a stiff neck, all the time. After a year a line appeared. It contrasts with existing color and can be seen all the time. From what my friend says, they're are more to come. I don't know if the line occured from human/pet error or simple mis-manufacturing.

Overall Review: I dont' know how long lcd's are supposed to last. This devolped a problem for me after a year and a half.

Most Critical Review

Not worth the extra money

Motorola MT352TPR 35 Mile 3 Radio Value Pack
Motorola MT352TPR 35 Mile 3 Radio Value Pack

Pros: They are 2 way radios that work fairly well in close range. Seems like a sturdier construction than most Talkabouts. USB charger instead of dock. Ear buds included. Three in a pack.

Cons: These Talkabouts did not work any better than the cheaper Motorola Talkabout MJ series. Lots of power boost and noise reduction options, but none of them seemed to make any difference in overall QUALITY or RANGE (which to me are the two most most important quality I look for in 2-way radios).

Overall Review: Spending all the time doing research led me to these headsets with extra noise cancelling features which I thought would work great, especially because they are rated at 35 miles compared to the 15 miles cheaper Talkabouts offer. (I understand that the mile rating is based on perfect conditions, but I figured the higher rating would help extend my range and quality - which did not happen.) It was disappointing to spend the time and the extra money to find that these headsets, for what I use them for, are no better than the cheaper Motorola Talkabouts.

DIED AFTER 5 MONTHS

WD Elements 2TB USB 2.0 3.5" Desktop External Hard Drive WDBAAU0020HBK
WD Elements 2TB USB 2.0 3.5" Desktop External Hard Drive WDBAAU0020HBK

Pros: Cheap. Easy and fast - plug and play out of the box. It's an external hard drive, not too much to it.

Cons: Maybe because it was not refurbished correctly, this item died on me after 5 months (and a few days). I know that a hard drive can die any time, but it doesn't seem right to only get 5 months of usage out of a hard drive before having to replace it. It might even be less expensive to rent space online and just upload all of my data.

Overall Review: Western Digital's warranty only lasted a bit less than 5 months (I always register my products with them). I feel a bit taken that it died almost exactly when the warranty ran out.

It won't be easy

SABRENT SBT-SP6C 5.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card
SABRENT SBT-SP6C 5.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card

Pros: This card is nice and cheap. Offers enough input/outputs to keep everyone happy. Easy to install (into the computer) - at least in my case.

Cons: The CD given with the driver doesn't work, so you're on the hunt to find your own drivers. I agree with previous posts that if you're not savvy stay away, but then again, someone else posted a link that got the card working in 30 seconds - it just took 2 hours to find that link. Sabrent's official website didn't work for me and neither did bb's http://driverscollection.com/?H=ForteMedia%20FM801-AU&By=AOpen. I guess everyone's PC is different though.

Overall Review: Thanks to Mike for this link: This is the file to download for xp and the following is the page: http://www.cmedia.com.tw/drivers.html
