"3 beep" Memory Problem
Pros: I used this motherboard in 4 computers in a small insurance agency. Did well. Inexpensive and has SATA 6 Gbs and USB 3.
Cons: This latest mobo I received is not so good. DOA. Has the same "3-beep" memory error reported by another user. Never could even get it going, even when I used memory from 2 other working computers with the same mobo. Looks to be a bad batch to me! I want to stay with this board to be consistent at the business, so I will try another one. For the boards that work, I will give then 4 eggs. For this one...1 egg.
NOT Haswell Compatible!!!
Pros: If you do not have an Intel Haswell CPU, this is a fine power supply. I built 5 computers one year ago using this PSU and there have been no failures. It used the 2500K Intel CPU and all is good. But if you have a Haswell Intel CPU.... read below!
Cons: The EA-380D is NOT fully haswell compatible!!! I repeat, it is not. After purchasing this PSU the Intel CPU included a warning sheet on the C& sleep state that goes to a very low level of power and PSUs need to be certified to handle this very low voltage. A call to ANTEC confirmed that the EA-380D is NOT haswell compatible and could cause damage to the computer.
