Pros: has VPN configurable access (which could be a little easier)
works long term
Cons: The VPN tunneling was my only headache. It seems to be a problem getting the correct ports and settings opened and correct between two different brands.
Other Thoughts: I have three of these at small business customers. In my area, high speed is considered 20mb down....no where near city speed, so I can't really talk about speed. Anyways, of the three that I have deployed, I have asked the customers to reboot them an average of once each (on a yearly basis). For me, these have been maintenance free. I have open ports for dvr and rdp access on two out of three....no issues.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This is descent for the price and has all of the standards....wifi, hdmi, usb ports, Windows 10 Home, 15in screen, Intel i5 - Read the Specs!
Cons: The hard drive is the old standard -slow 5400rpm model. The ram upgrades (as far as the manuals and website goes) are confusing...does it have another slot, etc. NO, you have to remove the 4gb and replace with an 8gb stick and IT IS NOT EASY. My opinion is that as-is, this is perfect for the person who wants a descent laptop for checking email, facebook, and candy crush.
Other Thoughts: take any old laptop and change the hard drive to an ssd and it becomes a minimum of two times faster. If you can't reasonably make a change like that, you really have to consider exactly what you are going to use it for. I would prefer to buy the G50 for 375$, switch the hard drive to ssd and add an addtl 4gb ram. Even if I don't switch those parts today, at least I can....and I would want to.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Fast, compatible, and comes with software to enable trim
Cons: No real diagnostics to test a drive if it is running slow or giving you problems... not like the old spinning drives.
Other Thoughts: I bought two when they were on the sale and one worked and one acted flakey causing me to waste 5 hours in loading, testing, updating firmware, finally guessing that the drive was the problem. Samsung RMA process was fairly easyREAD FULL REVIEW
