Pros: 10 months with great internet speeds Doesn't bottleneck my bandwidth Cheap Didn't have any installation issues

Cons: Kind of big. Tends to keep me from using the adjacent USB port. Not a big deal though. Still a worthy purchase.

Most Critical Review

Crapped out after 3 months

SEgoN Power-X USB 2.0 Flash Drive 32GB (Black)
SEgoN Power-X USB 2.0 Flash Drive 32GB (Black)

Pros: It was cheap

Cons: Stopped working after 3 months Transfer speeds were never that great even when it was working

Overall Review: In the process of transferring files it failed and said they couldn't be copied because the drive was write protected. Strangely enough I was transferring about a dozen files at the time. The first 5 copied without issue and then it spontaneously switched to write protected mid transfer. I didn't change any settings and there is no lock/unlock switch on this thing. Seems corrupted. I've tried changing attributes from the cmd line, editing properties in computer management, reformatting, and even adding a storagedevicepolicies key in the registry. Nothing I do removes the write protection on this thing. I think it's toast after a mere 3 months. I bought this thing despite the mixed reviews and now I regret it ...

It was free so meh

Diablotek ABYSS CPA-8818-BK Black Edition SECC / Plastic/ Metal Mesh ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Diablotek ABYSS CPA-8818-BK Black Edition SECC / Plastic/ Metal Mesh ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Got it for $50 with $50 in rebates Fan filters in the front and bottom of the case Decent cable management. I/O USB 3.0 header comes with a USB 2.0 adaptor Looks pretty decent after my mods :)

Cons: Poorly designed. Front fan comes connected directly to the bezel which is strange though it can be moved onto the case itself. Adding an extra intake fan in the front blocks the external 3.5" bay even though there are connection points for the fan there so you have to choose which one you want. Toolless adapters don't fit on the removable GPU plate even though there are holes there for them. I/O panel has a SD card slot even though it isn't supported by the case. Only comes with 2 fans though I was able to get 6 in there after modding. There is VERY little room at the top of the case. I managed to add a blowhole fan to it but I had to saw off the corners of the fan so that it wouldn't touch the mobo. Not very roomy in general. I got decent cable management and everything to fit but it took some finagling.

Overall Review: While I found this case to be pretty shoddily designed I got it for free due to Newegg being awesome. SO, can't really complain. Also, since I got it for free I decided to try my hand at modding. It was FUN! I managed to get 6 fans in the case, but stock it only supports 4. There are connections in the front for a 4th fan that for some reason no website mentions, not even the Diablotek site. I would guess this is because if you choose to put a fan there it prevents you from using the external 3.5" drive bay. I don't need it, so it was nice to have 2 intake fans in the front. The front bezel is also a giant filter so that is nice. The fan filters on the bottom are for the PSU and the optional bottom fan. They remove easily and are pretty convenient. Would probably have rated it 3 eggs if I paid full price for it.

Handles everything I throw at it

Intel Core i5-2400 - Core i5 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.1GHz (3.4GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Intel HD Graphics 2000 Desktop Processor - BX80623I52400

Pros: Integrated Graphics. People complain about integrated graphics but I managed to play Skyrim and Portal without buying a GPU. Sure everything was at the lowest possible setting ... but I played them! It's fast enough for me! I don't bother with overclocking and this CPU has been fine for me. Granted I don't do anything particularly crazy but it has never bogged down on me. Stays cool with stock heatsink and fan Was a good midrange choice for me.

Cons: It was the most expensive component in my rig!

Overall Review: Great CPU if you don't care about overlocking

Satisfying starter build

RAIDMAX Skyline ATX-948WS Black / Silver SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
RAIDMAX Skyline ATX-948WS Black / Silver SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Cheap case Lots of fans Swivel out HDD cage was nice. Miss having it in my new case. Roomy enough that my first build was a breeze.

Cons: No cable management No dust filters, but cheapo case, so go figure.

Overall Review: Bought this when I build my first PC because I needed it quick and this was on sale at the time. Lasted me a few months but I got tired of it and upgraded. If you don't care about having a really flashy case this is a good choice. Lots of fans and good airflow. Even without cable management it kept cool temps. Note that the PSU mounts upside down in this case.

Other sites scared me but so far so good

RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch
RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch

Pros: Have plenty of components running on it with wattage to spare. LED looked cool when I had a case requiring it to be mounted upside down. Semi-modular. Rig has stayed decently cool Got a good deal on it through newegg.

Cons: Had a SATA adapter snap on me but it still works and was probably my fault any way. Having the little nubs of cable left is kind of annoying but they aren't so long to really cause a problem. LED is basically pointless in my case that requires the PSU to be mounted right side up. Could use a couple more peripheral connectors

Overall Review: After I bought this I read on some other sites that these power supplies were risky purchases. I have had mine for 10 months so far in my daily use PC with no issues.
