Solid machine

Pros: Runs quiet and cool, essentially no bloatware. I don't do any ultra modern high end gaming, but everything I have thrown at it, it handles like a champ. Awesome fast computer, I run two monitors plugged into the dual DVI connectors on the video card. This still leaves me with open HDMI connectors. From the second I push the power button it's <10 seconds until I enter my login password and basically <5 seconds from there until it's fully loaded and ready to go. Lots of ports on it to plug everything in and still have some left over. Decent mouse and keyboard included. I use a USB connected WIFI antenna because I can't connect it to ethernet cable where it is located. Nonetheless, it doesn't seem to suffer from wireless internet coming in from USB. I purchased this computer to be strong in some areas I am not comfortable or smart enough to upgrade (processor), and somewhat weaker in areas I am comfortable upgrading (video card, ram). Although this computer isn't really lacking in any way, some time in the future I can upgrade these components as they get cheaper in the future. Basically, unless you need the absolute top of the line in everything, get this and upgrade it in the future as prices drop. Great value for your dollar. Always a pleasure Newegg.
Cons: None short of personal preference
Overall Review: Windows 8, for better or worse. I'm fine with Win 8 but I have modded it to better suit my tastes so that it boots to desktop and has a start button. I could see where people are turned off by desktop Win 8 but that's really just personal preference, it is a quality machine. Came with norton antivirus or some **** like that, uninstalled it because it is more annoying than actually having a virus. Loaded some free software instead, no problems.
Very disappointing

Pros: While it works, it's great.
Cons: After one month had a dead pixel, no big deal but annoying. After two months, monitor dies. I believe the back light went out so the monitor gets so dark it's unusable. RMA it back to ASUS. After two weeks of waiting, they email me back and say nothing is wrong and ship it back to me. I put it up and it appears to be working again for a few hours. The next day it's dead again. I have tried everything to get it working again. It's not my computer, the videocard, or the cables, it's the monitor; I've check everything. Maybe 1 time out of 10 it will suddenly start working, but as soon as it turns off for any reason, It's gone again. ASUS clearly didn't put any effort into finding out what is actually wrong so I guess I'm out my money now. I have owned (and continue to own) 2 other ASUS displays but now will never buy from them again.
Overall Review: Just hope that you don't get a lemon because ASUS doesn't have your back.
My favorite mouse

Pros: Good size, battery life, excellent for people who don't need a 10 button mouse. Small little reciever makes it great for portability.
Cons: None
Overall Review: When I got it, I looked at the AA batteries and wondered how they could fit them into a small little mouse. The thing is practically hollow.
