AZZA PSAZ-1000PT14 1000W ATX & EPS 12V 2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
  • Verified Owner

Pros: -It is exactly what i needed
-Build quality
-Looks good

Cons: -It wasn't fully modular(my fault for not doing the research.)

Other Thoughts: Meets my power needs and i shouldn't have to ever think about an upgrade. Looks good in my case and the quality impressed. It isn't fully modular but that was my fault for not being thorough.

Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1150 84W BX80646I74770K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics

Pros: -It just runs
-Quality and performance you expect

Cons: -non so far

Other Thoughts: I was doing a new build and wanted the newest and shiniest. This doesn't disappoint. Slight overclock from 3.5 to 3.9. It does run hot...kinda. I'm running an all air setup and it stays steady at 60c. Ran a test with the fans ramping and then at 100%. even when not at full load it just seems to like to run hotter. I could easily drop it with a water setup, but it seems pretty stable and I don't think I'll push it anymore. No need to right now.

ASUS PCE-AC66 Next Generation AC Dual-Band Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11ac, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n PCI Express Up to 1750Mbps (450/1300Mbps) Wireless Data Rates

Pros: -Adds wireless connectivity
-Looks good
-Build Quality

Cons: -Doesn't work all the time(for me)
-Initial specs and advertising were misleading

Other Thoughts: I'm currently running a Z87 haswell. My board already had wireless and i was going to use them together to increase my down/upload speed with teaming. Unfortunately it seems that it doesn't play well with the specs it was billed for. I recently finished my new build and it didn't take long to figure out that this was the source of my headaches. It was new and i thought it might just need a software update(wishful thinking). After reading another review it now seems that it just doesn't work well with z87 boards/haswell. Oh well. I didn't have any of the intermittent or drop issues. No abnormally slow transfer rates. When it worked it was fine. When it didn't it either wasn't recognized or it stalled/frooze my OS(Windows 7 Ultimate) before full initialization(At the windows logo). I contacted ASUS and they responded quickly. I didn't call the number they gave in the email though. I'll keep this card and try it in another computer. Maybe make a little money off of it. If it still has the same issues then I'll try to return it. If i can't I'll practice my soldering on it. In the mean time I'll try the ac68 to see if that works. It still gets 3 eggs for now, even with the problems, because it potentially still works...just not for me.
