Cons: First PC died within 5 minutes. Second replaced one did the same. Look closely at the return policy; you can only get a replacement, not a refund. After getting second defective PC last night, I spent 2.5 hours on the phone with HP tech support before they finally agreed to take the computer in for repair. 2.5 hours and 2 weeks and still no working computer. NOT happy.

Overall Review: I figured odds were low I'd get a dud computer and if I did, I'd just replace it. But after two duds in a row, I don't want to own this computer anymore. I just want to take my money back and buy a different one that won't cause such a hassle. But. Newegg does not issue refunds on this computer, only replacements. At this point, I have no idea how long it will be before I get a working computer into my house since it's been two weeks and I've had to mail them back twice now. The failure rate is too high to make this model worth it. Also, keep in mind that if you have the same issue - repeated defective units - you won't be able to just move on to a different model since there are no refunds. Your money is committed to this one no matter how many times it must be replaced before you get a functioning product. If you look at Newegg's list of refurbished models, almost all are HP. Cons: 1st computer worked five minutes after windows setup then died 2nd computer died in the process of setting up windows 1st one i paid 36 bucks and mailed it back to newegg. figured that was a dud but what were the odds I'd get another one? 2nd computer- didn't last as long as the first not wanting to pay the shipping to return it to newegg, i got on the phone with HP. I've been on the phone with them for an hour now. so far they've offered no suggestions that helped but they're still "researching." this will of course end with me mailing it back to them to get repaired. at least mailing it back to hp shoudl be free. still, i'd rather have paid more money and just bought a machine that works. whoever said hp's quality control must be terrible - yes. Overall Review: hopefully the third time i get this computer in the mail, it will work. however - i'd have gladly paid more money to avoid several weeks of hassle and to have actually had a working computer in my apartment by now.

Overall Review: I didn't realize that I would be required to pay for shipping to return this even if it was defective. Therefore the total cost of ownership is increasing.
