Pretty good

XFX GeForce 8500 GT 1GB GDDR2 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card PVT86JZAFG
XFX GeForce 8500 GT 1GB GDDR2 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card PVT86JZAFG

Pros: Good card, Runs source games really well (82fps in lost coast stress test*), didn't end up trying any DX10 games on it. Nvidia has good stable drivers. Installed quickly and easily. It is very quite and small.

Cons: low clock rate, ddr2, way way more RAM then it can even use, I am only listing this as a con because it is being used as a marketing scheme, because there is no way this card could even utilize that much ram.

Overall Review: It runs a little hot (it was idling in the mid 50's) but not bad at all, it was very stable in games. In all it's a decent card that runs games well, but i found that for this price there are better cards out there and i ended up RMAing this one to get a different one, but if you for some reason need a lot of RAM, then this is a great choice. *[Intel 2.4ghz Q6600, 3gb RAM, XFX GeForce 8500GT 1GB (now running a GeCube HD 2600XT @850mhz]

Best card for this price

GECUBE Radeon HD 2600XT 256MB GDDR4 PCI Express x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card GC-XHD2600XTG4-D3
GECUBE Radeon HD 2600XT 256MB GDDR4 PCI Express x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card GC-XHD2600XTG4-D3

Pros: Very fast and can run pretty much any game. Runs source games all settings maxed at over 100fps (no AA). Easy install and ATI catalyst software is great. Stable drivers. It is relatively quite.

Cons: It does run pretty hot, when under a lot of stress it gets up near the 70's. But the fan speeds up to compensate and it never seems to cause problems. I wish the airflow was the opposite direction (Out of the case rather then into it). It is also pretty big, it took up a good portion of my case, I had to move some stuff around to get it to fit.

Overall Review: Great card, and even though it is big it didn't really make much of a difference. So far it can handle everything I have flawlessly. The manual says you should run it on a 500watt power supply, but I have a 400watt and it is running it fine so far. [Intel Q6600, 3GB RAM, Gecube HD 2600XT]

Great Computer, Great Price

Gateway Desktop PC GM5643E - RA Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 3GB DDR2 400GB HDD Intel GMA 3100 Windows Vista Home Premium

Pros: Great price for what it comes with. Very fast once it's optimized right and is great for gaming after you add an after market graphics card. Quite. Decent sized case with good airflow.

Cons: Vista. Comes loaded with a ton of junk software as expected. All four RAM slots already taken up :/ .

Overall Review: I got this as a new gaming computer, I just wanted to find the best deal I could on a pre-built with a Intel core 2 quad and this was the best, and it also didn't come with a graphics card that I wouldn't want anyways since I would replace it so that was a plus as it cut down the price.
