Super board!
Pros: Good overclocking options, stable with i5-750 to 4.2 Ghz...wow. Good price too. Easy setup with no issues with Windows 7 Enterprise (x64). I agree it is a cool looking board.
Cons: ExpressGate software not so good (IMHO), but no egg deduction for that.
Overall Review: Just a good, solid, stable board at a decent price that overclocks like a demon...what else is there?
Not ready for Win 7 64-bit
Pros: Decent unit, laid out well, printing is fine, faxing a little quirky but OK. Great price too at 80 bucks shipped, BUT...
Cons: Does NOT support scanning via Canon's MF Toolbox 4.9 with Win 7 64 bit. After two hours of trying to get the scanning to work, I called Canon Tech Support (William). We verified the drivers , etc. All OK. He asked what application I was using for scanning and told him Canon Toolbox 4.9, and he stated the toolbox will NOT work with Win 7 64-bit OS. He said you can use Windows Fax and Scan to scan...I just laughed.
Overall Review: Cannot comment on too much other than above. Canon's site states it supports 64-bit OS, but just not all I guess. Back it goes.
3rd time's the charm
Pros: Fast, quiet, good price.
Cons: 1st drive died after less than a week, 2nd drive DOA, 3rd drive seems fine. I was going to knock off 2 eggs, but Newegg's customer service is outstanding.
Overall Review: FYI...If you have to RMA the same item a few times (rare, but possible), the RMA clock starts ticking from date of the orig. order. Example, by the time the 3rd drive had arrived, 32 days had passed, and Newegg said that I needed to through the manf. since it was over 30 days. But, after talking to a supv., they made an exception.
Outstanding chip
Pros: Great overclocking chip (YMMV). I am running this chip on a ASUS P7P55D P55 board with a Scythe Mugen II heatsink and easily go over 4.2 Ghz stable!! I generally run at ~3.8 Ghz at just over stock voltage...yes, it's true. Temps. around 44 deg. Great bang for the buck.
Cons: Are you kidding? None.
Overall Review: ASUS P7P55D P55 board i5 750 Scythe Mugen II ATI 4870 video card - (great card!) 4GB (2GBx2) G.SKILL Ripjaws-DDR3 500GB Segate SATA HD 7200rpm The other normal stuff, DVD, etc, blah blah blah.
A great tool for IT geeks
Pros: Works great on both IDE/SATA. Great tool.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Good for all types of uses like getting files off old drives, cloning, etc. I find it useful when someone has a nasty virus, you can pull the drive, setup with this adapter, and scan the drive as a slave drive.
Works fine
Pros: Works as advertised. Used it to hook up my older UPS/UPS software via serial connection. No issues. I did need the driver CD.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Great for new PC's with no serial port.
