Replacement works
Pros: Received my new card today to replace the older one which was a black screen monster. A single run of valley or any game for about 15 minutes would trigger one without any overclocking at all. Did all the troubleshooting steps to fix it but nothing did the job until I received this new replacement and without any modifications, overclocking or changing anything other than placing the card and installing the drivers and the card worked wonders. Really happy about it and will definitely buy a second one now that I know that this card actually has the potential.
Cons: The whole having to go through the RMA in order to get a good working card was a head ache but can't be lucky all the time.
Not a worthy upgrade to the original Define S
Pros: First of all. I had my system and custom loop inside of a Define S until yesterday. When I started the migration into the new S2. Was hoping for a very similar setup being that both cases are almost identical. So read bellow. PROS: - Solid build with an elegant simplistic design. - Plenty of support for water cooling. - Straight forward case if you are not going to do anything too extreme.
Cons: Well where to start... CONS: - Reservoir bracket things are as fragile as paper. - The front, top and bottom radiator mount locations are very limiting as far as position goes. - Top dust filter will not go in if you mount your top radiator on the closet part towards the window. - I was able to mount my top radiator while keeping my Dominator Ram untouched. Here even mounting towards the edge it required me to remove the metal portion of the ram. - After removing the top metal cap, while prying the dust filter out of it, it bent like it was paper. Be very careful with this part. Very thin metal there. - Fans included not the same priced PWM version.
Overall Review: Anyways. Spent two days transplanting my loop into this case just to complete it and fell totally unsatisfied. I could have just upgraded my tubing and done my delid on my new 8700k while staying the Define S and been totally happy. Instead I purchased this and since I am not about to mail a case as a return and I am not about to transplant the loop back again... I will keep it. But very unsatisfied. Online reviews are just too limiting on this case. Be very careful when planning a loop on this baby.
School + OneNote + Surface = AMAZING
Pros: - Portable - Great Battery - Amazing Pen
Cons: - Precision could be just like a tiny very tiny bit better. - Not a big fan of the keyboard. - Pen should come with the different tips.
Overall Review: I am now on my second semester since purchasing this device. And it has been put to work in this time. Mathematics Major with a Minor in Business. While I still like to scribble some math work on my notepads at home I tend to opt to do most of my work on the tablet even when at home. The ability to work on a problem without wasting dozens of pages (Math Analysis Proofs) is great for my sanity. All my work is on OneNote and that is basically the only thing I need with me at all times in school. No more half dozen notebooks in my bag... Just one surface a small notebook just in case of emergencies and that is it.
Up and running for a few months now.
Pros: Works as intended. Price is reasonable. Matched my build quite well after adding the light bars.
Cons: I have no cons as fo this moment. Its been a few months now since the build was completed and this set has been running non stop at peak performance.
So far so good...
Pros: Well haven't really put this processor to work yet. But so far what I have seen is pretty impressive. I managed to reach 4.5 without almost lifting a finger using the so called safe overclock for this processor. 4.5 @ 1.3v. It has been up and running stable as hell for two-three days now.
Cons: For some reason realbench seems to make my system crash without even running the benchmark, just by opening the program... so more of a warning for those out there. Everything else works fine once that program is gone :D.
So far so good...
Pros: So far I haven't had much issues with the board. It looks amazing in my black and white, water cooled build. It has plenty of features most of which I am not even using but it is great having it there for future expansion.
Cons: The only issue so far was the fact that even though a G.Skill kit of ddr4 listed on the website was supposed to be supported by the board. It end up being that it isn't, at least in my case since the system wont boot if I enable to XMP profile for the memory. The memory does pass memtest so there is a support issue most likely here.
