Pros: This is my first e-book reader and honestly, will probably be my last, unless this one wears out. I mean, it's a READER for goodness' sake. If you want perfect picture and chart rendering then you need a laptop or at least a netbook, not an e-book reader. It puts the words clearly on the screen from an excellent array of formats, with adjustable font sizes and will even display the illustrations if there are any. If you read the instructions fully, (unlike me) the firmware upgrade is a breeze. The controls are easy to master and switching between books is almost as easy as laying one down and picking up another. Loading and unloading books is as easy as moving files on your computer. This couldn't be much easier to use or more natural to read from. Also, the ear buds and carrying case are very nice accessories.

Cons: None, but it is important to note that the owner's manual is only located on the reader itself, not as a physical document. Unless this was just an oversight with my unit, it would probably be useful to have a printed manual included.

Overall Review: Several people have mentioned battery life and not being able to power off the unit. If you go into the settings, from the main menu, you can set the reader to automatically power off after a period of time.

Pros: This machine does make a cup of coffee, in any size up to 18 ounces. It shuts off on its own. It has a really nice travel mug. Honestly, I can't say any more good about it.

Cons: Slow, slow, slow. My Keurig Vue made a 14 oz cup of piping hot coffee in about a minute and 20 seconds. This machine makes a 14 oz cup in somewhere between 4 and 5 minutes, depending on when it finally stops dripping. It is also not a very hot cup of coffee. If you're thinking of replacing your pod-based brewer with a grounds-based brewer, I would not choose this one if you are looking for the same speed, because you will be sadly disappointed. 2/20/16 - Since my original review, I have timed the brew cycle on this unit and it actually takes 7 minutes to brew a full 18 oz travel mug of coffee. Also, if you use the metal mesh filter rather than a paper cone filter, be prepared for lots of sludge in your coffee. Honestly, if I hadn't already invested the money, I would definitely buy a different coffee maker.

Overall Review: I had to replace my Vue because the model was discontinued and the pods are getting difficult and expensive to buy. I wanted to go back to ground coffee and should probably have done more research before I bought this one. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Pros: First, let's get the obvious out of the way - its a plate and it gets hot. That's pretty much what you would expect with a device like this. One feature may make this more or less desirable to you, and that is the cast iron heating surface. As others have noted, it is heavier than the coil-type hot plates, it takes a little longer to heat up and it stays hot long after you shut it off. Personally, I like the cast iron because it gives more contact surface and because it does stay hot after it is shut off. YMMV

Cons: I have only found one con with this, and I would actually consider it a safety hazard and a major design flaw, which is why I deducted one egg for it. As another reviewer noted there is NO positive OFF position on the controller. It is simply a rheostat control with no positive clicked off position. When you plug it in, it WILL start heating, even if it is in the off position. For that reason, if you have small children in the home, I would recommend you look at other hot plates, or pay very close attention when this one is in use.

Overall Review: Other reviewers have noted that the thermostat clicks off and on as a con. That is how any electric heating device works. It doesn't just stay in constant heat mode. Even on max heat, it is still going to click off until it cools to below the max temperature. If you want constant full-bore heat, you need a gas ring.

Pros: Well-made, quality construction. Bright, crisp colors, heavy fabric, excellent stitching, no dangling threads. Accurate EGA, just a stunning piece of Marine gear.

Overall Review: I was really surprised at what a beautiful cover this is. Any leatherneck would be proud to wear this, I believe. I can't wait to give it to my dad (Korea vet) for Father's Day, he's gonna love it! Very nice piece indeed.

Pros: I don't know what all the problem is with these discs. In the year that I have had my LG BluRay drive, I have burned about 70 of these Memorex 6x discs and at least 120 of the 4x discs and have had a total of - count 'em - one (1) coaster from a 6x and zero from the 4x. I do take the precaution of burning at slower speeds than the drive wants to, and I also verify the data, but other than that, no special precautions and the firmware has never been updated, either.

Cons: None, although I wouldn't mind if they were cheaper, but for over 20 gigs of storage per disc, I'm not going to complain.

Overall Review: Just like some guns only like certain ammo, maybe your drives prefer certain brands of discs. I can only report the experience I've had, and I have no reason to stretch the truth. Believe me, if they didn't work for me, I'd tell you that, too. But, as with all things in life, YMMV.

Pros: I have been using these discs to back up several external drives and have burned well over 100 of them so far, using Nero and my LG drive without a single coaster. Recognized speeds are always 8 or 10X but I usually burn at 6X and verify the data. Couldn't ask for better discs.

Cons: None. A little cheaper would be nice, but that's a lot of storage for the price, too.

Overall Review: I have used Memorex recording media of all types for over 30 years and have seldom been disappointed. If you use the right equipment and the right software, these should work fine for you.

I'm giving one egg because I did get one of my items. However, that was 50% of my order. The other item I did not receive, but because I got a large number of packages at the same time, I did not realize the item was missing until some days later. When I realized it, I immediately emailed Botach and let them know it was missing from my order. No response. Days went by and I emailed them again, politely suggesting that satisfied customers are more likely to order again. Still no response. So, today I tried calling them. I called 5 times and maxed out their hold time each time. So, business must be so good that they can just ignore customers who have a complaint. Safe to say I won't be purchasing anything from them anymore.
