Works Just Right

Rosewill - Black, Ultra High Gloss Finished Micro ATX Computer Case with 400W ATX 2.2 12V Power Supply - R363-M-BK
Rosewill - Black, Ultra High Gloss Finished Micro ATX Computer Case with 400W ATX 2.2 12V Power Supply - R363-M-BK

Pros: -Plenty of room. -Super easy installation. -Power supply has all the connections I needed and unlike some others, mine is working great with no problems at all. (Check your power supply needs before you just go plugging things in people.) -Finish is nice.

Cons: I'd just like to say that none of these should discourage you from buying this case. -Could have maybe came with another case fan. Although not really a big deal. All temps are low... I'm just paranoid. -I have to push close my DVD drive... and that bothers me. -Case is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but with the finish, dust shows up pretty quickly.

Overall Review: I used this case to build a work computer for my dad. He was running a far outdated system and needed a new low budget computer. The case fits everything great and psu fits my needs. This isn't a super high end case and I'm not sure how cool it would keep a gaming rig. Just do your research. This case was part of a pretty low budget ($400) build and it works great for its purpose. Dual core AMD 4 gigs of ram 250GB HDD DVD burner Card reader 64 bit XP

Thermaltake Tsunami VA3000BWA Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Thermaltake Tsunami VA3000BWA Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Lots of space. Looks pretty.

Cons: I don't know, do you really need to lock your computer? I mean, you do know windows has that whole password thing right? The side window scratches fairly easily and that beautiful high gloss finish looks horrible after you smudge it all up. Didn't really keep my system cooler than my last case. Also, my motherboard and psu weren't fun to get in there with that annoying crossbar.

Overall Review: For the price, eh, I guess I probably would have went with something else.

GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-H170 - Easy setup.

GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-H170-Gaming 3 (rev. 1.0) LGA 1151 Intel H170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-H170-Gaming 3 (rev. 1.0) LGA 1151 Intel H170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: -Specs were what I was looking for. I didn't buy a K proc so I didn't need the Z170. -Still plenty of bells and whistles. -Loved the front panel adapter. -Plenty of 4-pin fan connectors. -Recognized everything right from the start, even my SSD. -Can't hurt that it looks like a $200 mobo.

Cons: -Sata ports were a little difficult to work with but that is partially my cases fault. -Even though it's the H170, I would of liked to see some support for different RAM speeds. -Would of liked another sata cable. 2 Is just not enough these days.

Overall Review: I've been using it for about a month now with no issues and is a huge upgrade from my previous 785G. -The extra monitoring tools and the APP center in general aren't that bad and they use minimal systems resources. -Unfortunately you can snag a Z170 for about $20 more if you wait for the right time but it'll be a base. -Nothing would keep me from recommending this product to someone interested in getting a newer 1151 socket board but wasn't looking to break the bank. Good compromise between affordability and the provided features and reliability. UPDATE 11/28/2018 - Still running strong.

Good for the time

SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 120GB SATA III 32 layer 3D V-NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-75E120B/AM
SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 120GB SATA III 32 layer 3D V-NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-75E120B/AM

Pros: -Setup was as simply as can be. -Reliable. Has lasted 3 years so far and I'm running my system nearly 16hrs a day. -Fast. If you're coming from a standard HDD, prepare to enter the modern world.

Cons: -It's full. I only use it for my OS but it's to the point where I've got 12GB free and I'm just not comfortable with that. Larger windows updates put my free space in the red every other month.

Overall Review: I'd recommend going with at least the next size up even if you plan on using this for an OS drive. If possible, go with the 500GB drives, they're getting cheaper every day now that the crypto crazy is dying down. There should be some great deals this upcoming Black Friday. Even without sale, I can pickup the 500GB versions for what I paid.

Rosewill Blackbone - Surprisingly well put together

Rosewill ATX Mid Tower Computer Case, Blue LED Fan, Black Steel & Plastic - BLACKBONE
Rosewill ATX Mid Tower Computer Case, Blue LED Fan, Black Steel & Plastic - BLACKBONE

Pros: -Looks sleeker than the phones give it credit. -Lots of room to work with and managed to not cut myself once while working on the inside. -Decent cable management options. -Side panels are easily removed and don't feel flimsy. -Case fan really isn't too bright. -Tool-less system was one of the easiest I've ever worked with.

Cons: -I would of liked a clear side panel but they always end up getting scratched anyway soooo.... -Could of had just another mm behind the mobo for cables but still plenty of room. I hadto work to get that back panel on. -I feel like the case fans might be the weakest point to the case. They seem slow and would of preferred 4 pin connectors.

Overall Review: My front eSATA port looks a little busted but I don't actually use it and haven't had to test it. I glossed over it entirely but there is no 2.5" internal bays so my SSD isn't secured how I would of liked until my mounting kit gets here. Depending on what you plan on throwing in here, you may want to invest in some higher quality case fans but honestly you're looking at a $40 case.

Intel Core i5-6600 6M - Can't complain

Intel Core i5-6600 - Core i5 6th Gen Skylake Quad-Core 3.3 GHz LGA 1151 65W Intel HD Graphics 530 Desktop Processor - BX80662I56600
Intel Core i5-6600 - Core i5 6th Gen Skylake Quad-Core 3.3 GHz LGA 1151 65W Intel HD Graphics 530 Desktop Processor - BX80662I56600

Pros: -Easy to install. Took maybe 20 seconds. -Stock cooler isn't terrible as long as your case has some good ventilation. I always prefer to use a different thermal compound but that's preference. Temps settled after a few days has been running smoothly since I fired it up.

Cons: -It's not a K model and like all processors the price went down the week after I snagged one. This is the industry and don't really take way from the product if you know what you're getting. I didn't plan on overclocking my first switch over to Intel.

Overall Review: Considering I went from an AMD Phenom II X4 945 to this I was expecting a huge upgrade and wasn't disappointed. Running on a Gigabyte H170 with 8 GB of RAM and it handles most of my current steam games paired with an old 5770 (definitely the current bottleneck on my system).
