Insane
Pros: Good looking, intelligent design, and a powerful GPU make this video card affordable and very, very desirable. It's innovative cooling solution has to be one of the best I've seen, and it keeps me from worrying about overheating. Since it's not a GTX, it's not excessively long, and it doesn't require two power connectors to get it going. I had no problems getting this to install properly.
Cons: The software Asus packages with this card is useless. Maybe if it was more intuitive, and less of a reaource hog I'd have better things to say about it. Another problem I encountered is that for some Vista users, the drivers that run the Aero scheme will crash repeatedly unless you turn Aero off. I couldn't lock down the problem to fix it, and I ended up finding out that Nvidia blames Vista, and Vista blames Nvidia for this problem. Who's to blame doesn't matter, both should be working on a solution.
Overall Review: This card is able to run SLId, but this may impact cooling to one of the cards. Something to keep in mind, but I doubt it would be too much of a problem.
ASRock Z77 Intolerant
Pros: Looks good, performs good on paper. Good price point.
Cons: If you own an ASRock Z77 do not buy this RAM. It will most likely not work, causing you to question your personal self worth until you go out and buy another set of RAM that does. I installed this RAM on my first go around, computer worked fine for a minute and then BSOD'd (Windows 8.1). Numerous attempts to manually change timing in BIOS and several other fiddle farts did nothing. I purchased comparable Corsair RAM in store at Tiger-Direct and it solved all my problems. A friend I gave the Ripjaws to after I couldn't get them to work said they didn't work for him either, completely different comp specs. I was possibly delivered bad RAM. Either way, the product caused a problem and did not work as intended, which forces me to rate it low.
Overall Review: Potatoes
Memeory that works hard for your money
Pros: While I hardly consider looks to merit a good rating for any hardware product I buy, this product is exempt from that. Not only are the large, efficient heat fins and excellent solution to my memory overheating problem, they are bada** looking. If you're hurting for high temps, or looking to upgrade your memory, go no farther than this.
Cons: Heat fins are so large they can be a little tricky to seat the stick on the first few tries, and if your channel slots are next to each other, it can be quite close, but not impossible.
Overall Review: Efficient, fast, good looking and powerful. No complaints to me, I'd definitely buy them again.
