Great Case

Cooler Master Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Cooler Master Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: The case has a good design, the carry handle is sturdy enough that I can carry the case for a mile and have no computer related issues.(my rig weighs about 30 lbs... 'd break before the case did) The only tools I needed for it were to install the mobo and power supply, the rest is thumb screws or snaps/slides. I haven't added any fans yet, but I haven't had much need to either as the case has a fairly open design with a grated front, slits on the side panel and some good sized fans in it.

Cons: I've only found three pretty minor things wrong with this case, two of which are likely user-error but I'll include anyway. The first proplem I had with the case was when I went to stick my disk drive in: the "happy spot" where the drive will actually lock in is a bit tricky to find on the first try. On drives after the first, you can just line up the front and it'll work perfect though. The second problem I had was also when I was setting up the case. The front panel audio connector was a bit dinged up and I could see one of the electrical contacts inside the connector. I just pushed it into place, put some electrical tape on and it worked fine so I didn't bother to RMA it. My third and final issue is pretty much user error, but I can never quite get a USB device into the front ports on the first or second try. I have to turn the case so the front is facing me to get USB to plug in. Overall, because two issues are user-error and the third was easily fixed, I won't dock any eggs.

Overall Review: It's not going to say I'm a verified owner, but that's only because I got this case for Christmas, but it DID come from this site. Overall I love this case, I don't think I'd ever change unless I absolutely had to.

Most Critical Review

Card works well. Software and documentation do not

Galaxy 52GGF4AM5UXX MDT GeForce GT 520 (Fermi) 1GB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Multi-display Video Card
Galaxy 52GGF4AM5UXX MDT GeForce GT 520 (Fermi) 1GB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Multi-display Video Card

Pros: Significantly better than my on-board card, supports multiple displays, quiet and light on power consumption. Works.

Cons: Difficult to set up (Had to disable my on-board card. That is easy enough to do, but it would have helped to mention that in the directions.) The software to change it to several independent displays does not work. Does not support VGA connections, even through a DVI-VGA adapter.

Overall Review: Did not get this on Newegg, purchased it at a big-box store on clearance.

Rosewill RC-400-LX - Network Adapter 10 / 100 / 1000 Mbps PCI 1 x RJ45
Rosewill RC-400-LX - Network Adapter 10 / 100 / 1000 Mbps PCI 1 x RJ45

Pros: Works well, no hiccups. Sustains 65-80 MBps easily. Also cheap.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Driver CD has the drivers for seemingly every NIC rosewill makes, and the end user has to sort through the cd to find the correct ones.
