Sad Sack

ASRock 939Dual-VSTA 939 ULi M1695 ATX AMD Motherboard
ASRock 939Dual-VSTA 939 ULi M1695 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: I purchased 2 of these. One I have had for over a year. Great went from AGP to PCI. Running a X2 3800+ Can still go to AM2 with expansion board.

Cons: They no longer make these boards. I emailed the company and was told they are out of production. I have seen a few on the internet but they was too much $$$$ for them.

Overall Review: This was a really cool board and nice chipset. Too bad its days have been numbered. Hoepfully the chipset will continue to survive. I see New Egg has these still listed as out of stock. Now does this mean they will be getting more in???? If not please take them off your web site. I would like to purchase another one and seeing it on your site out of stock is nothing but a tease.

Not too shabby

AMD Athlon II X3 425 - Athlon II X3 Rana Triple-Core 2.7 GHz Socket AM3 95W Processor - ADX425WFGIBOX
AMD Athlon II X3 425 - Athlon II X3 Rana Triple-Core 2.7 GHz Socket AM3 95W Processor - ADX425WFGIBOX

Pros: It works great, no problems at all. I was able to unlock the 4th core and the L3 cache with my ASRock A780GXH/128M MB and it was stable at stock voltages. I didn't stress test it and was a little concerned that I could not read the temps after it was unlocked. When I tried to power my system up the next day it took a couple hits of the button to get it to power on so I decided to set it back to stock. But I am sure if I had played around with it and increased the voltage some I could have stablized it. But it is plenty fast for what I use it for. Great buy for $76.00.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Great buy for a low budget gaming system or a HTPC.

Keep it Krunk

ASUS Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card EAH4850/HTDI/512M
ASUS Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card EAH4850/HTDI/512M

Pros: This is a great card. Plays everything I can throw at it. My 1280X1024 monitor does not do it justice. I now have an excuse to get a larger monitor.

Cons: The only cons I see are that they allow fools to write reviews who don't actually own this product.

Overall Review: To all to said it runs hot....baaa you need to use the Asus SmartDoctor to adjust the fan speed. At 60% I still can't hear the card and it runs 42C idle and never gets above 65 while playing games.

Great CPU

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ - Athlon 64 Venice Single-Core 2.0 GHz Socket 939 Processor - ADA3200BPBOX
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ - Athlon 64 Venice Single-Core 2.0 GHz Socket 939 Processor - ADA3200BPBOX

Pros: This is a great CPU. Runs cool, fast runs all the games. I have not had a single problem with it in over a year.

Cons: Not mutlti core but who cares if your a gamer. Still good for at least another year. Not that many games support multi cores anyway.

Overall Review: I paid $xxx over a year ago and it was a great deal then. For xx bucks this is the chip to get. Skip all the semprons and get this. Get a decent video card and you will get great FPS just as good as any high end cpu. Who cares if the high end ones get 160fps you only need 40-60 to play and you will save hundreds of dollars. Core2 looks good but wait another year for intell to release all of their cpu's and AMD to put out their new cpu's and the prices will drop so low you will be able to skip dual and go straight to quad for the prices people are paying for dual right now. Be patient!
