This was a surprise!!
Pros: Durable, cool looking, quiet fans, USB hub.
Cons: I will put it this way. Everyone who has seen it.....WANTS IT!! LOL
Overall Review: I am a very large person and this sits perfectly over my chest when I am laying down. It is durable enough to hold my laptop and quiet to boot. The USB hub was a wonderful addition. The locks on the legs can be finicky and loud, But I don't mind a bit. Great Product. I highly recommend it to anyone.
MANY BSODs
Pros: Great price, features, and layout
Cons: it worked well for about 3 months. then I started getting several different BSODs. I replaced memory, GPU, and HDD (At the advice of ASUS). But i continue to get them. I contacted RMA but never recieved an RNA number. Their products are great but they dropped the ball on this one.
Overall Review: RMA Dept. is useless. The tech dept. is lazy and seems to bee reading from a script. I also am not a fan of the fact that i have to PAY the shipping there and then have to wait for almost a month before I get my replacement board. Shame Shame. I have been a long time ASUS customer....but never again.
OK mic, but not all is well
Pros: Price. looks, and features for the price. Not a terrible product, but.....
Cons: USB connection Does not work at all. Windows 10 can recognize it. Having both 3.5mm and USB saved the mic from getting a 1 egg. Te clip that holds the mic is a little flimsy feeling, however the stand seems solid.
Overall Review: Overall you get what you pay for. It isn't terrible and it works great in 3.5 mm jack. A little cheap but if you need a good mic for Discord or Skype, no worries.
Cheap but not Cheesy
Pros: Cost to feature ratio is really high. Durable and nicely laid out. Easy to install and upgrade Bios.
Cons: Not a one. I wish it had come with a Q-connector like higher priced Asus boards, but I can not say it is a con.
Overall Review: I bought this board for my wife's new system. I mated it with an AMD FX 4100 "Bulldozer" Processor and 8 GB of G-Skill Ripjaws Memory and my old EVGA GTS 450. It is running on a 430 watt Raidmax PSU. It starts up and runs really fast. She plays Perfect World and World of Warcraft on high/ultra setting without any lag or lockups. I have bought a lot of Asus boards in the past. This is the first low end board, and I am blown away. Never had a bad Asus board. I will recommend this board to anyone wanting to build a cheap gaming rig. I do recommend updating the Bios prior to installing the OS. Asus says it helps compatibility issues that may arise from the new FX chips.
5 eggs but with a MAJOR but....
Pros: Miraculously the card works great. EVGA did a great job Read below for why I say this. Got a good price $60.00 off
Cons: Okay I will start by saying that the card runs great. I have no issues with it. Actually I was shocked that it worked at all. I received it today. When I got it. The shipping box was CRUSHED BADLY. When I got it open (which wasn't hard, because must of the tape was destroyed) The Retail box was protected by a scant amount of paper. The retail box had one corner crushed and the rest of it looked as iff it were used for a soccer ball. Now The packing was truly Neweggs fault. But the condition of the shipping box was all UPS and this isn't the first time I have received obliterated boxes from them. I have noticed a woeful amount of packages from the Memphis warehouse being under packed and the shipping containers damaged. This is tough to swallow as I spend at least $1500 - $2000 a year at Newegg.
Overall Review: The GTX 570 defiantly deserves the credit it gets on Passmark and other reviewing sites. I am getting 121.6 FPS in Heroic Sethekk Halls in World of Warcraft and 93.2 FPS in Orgrammar. So This is a great card. But Newegg, you REALLY need to get on top of the shipping situation. Because this is really unacceptable. BTW. I took plenty of photos of both the retail and shipping boxes.
Pros: LONGEVITY!!!!! quiet and relentlessly reliable EVEN AFTER 3 3/4 YEARS
Cons: Well I have had it 3 3/4 years and still pulls it's weight. So I would say NONE
Overall Review: I honestly did not think this PSU would last more than a year, but It has been in use everyday since Jan. 30th of 2009. And has never had an issue. I purchased the extended warranty back then....well I didn't need it. it seems. Rock solid and long lasting power. Thank you Raidmax!!
