YAMAKASI CATLEAP 2703 LED 27

Pros: There are definitely some great pros.

1.) The screen looks great. I use it as my primary monitor and my old primary monitor is now my secondary monitor. You can definitely tell the color looks much better then on my old monitor.

2.) Price. It was insanely cheap. I wouldn't necessarily recommend getting this monitor refurbished for reasons I'll explain in the cons. But even for a little more money for a new version of this monitor it would be well worth it.

3.) As far as I can tell there is only one dead pixel and I can't tell it's there unless I am actually looking for it. And even then I can only see it if the screen is white.

4.) The setup was easy. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect with a monitor made in S. Korea but I had no problems. The outlet converter works just fine.

5.) Fast delivery. It arrived earlier than expected.

Cons: 1.) The biggest problem I had is that the stand was broken on arrival. I'm not entirely sure why they shipped it with the stand attached, but they did. It broke off where the screws go in so it's not even like I could replace the stand. Fortunately for me I was planning on getting a mounted stand for it so it really doesn't effect me, but it could definitely make a big impact on a lot of people thinking of purchasing this monitor.

2.) There were some cracks on the top left and right side of the monitor. They aren't visible from the front so I'll never have to look at them, but that's another thing that could be a big deal to some people.

3,) The buttons. They are located on the bottom right of the monitor. At first I thought they didn't do anything (apart from the power button) but one of the reviews of the product said the buttons do work but there just isn't anything that shows up to let you know they are changing anything (like how most monitors will have a screen overlay that shows you what settings you are changing).

Other Thoughts: - I haven't tried the speakers so I'm not going to say anything about them.

- The box it arrived in had a couple dings but wasn't too beat up. There were quite a few black marks on it like it had been sliding around though.

- It really is a great monitor for the price. The resolution, screen size, and picture quality are all great. It just depends on if you are willing to take the risk of getting a broken stand and possibly other problems that I didn't encounter with this specific monitor.

- In case anyone is wondering, I took one egg off for the broken stand and one for the cracked sides. Otherwise it would have gotten a solid 5 eggs. That's why I would definitely recommend this monitor if you can find it new. Or if you're willing to take the risk of having a less than perfect product.

Pros: I don't know where to start. The processor, the hard drive, the video card, the screen, and the memory are all amazing. I spent a lot of time looking for the best laptop and this is hands down the greatest one around for the price. The hard drive even runs at 7200 rpm which is uncommon for any laptop. I haven't had my laptop for very long but so far I have had no problems. The two year warrenty and no dead pixel promise along with a two year warrenty make getting an asus notebook even better.

Cons: *I guess it is a little heavy and kind of big but what do you expect with everything that is in it.

*It smudges easy but I wouldn't say that is a con because it looks great with or without smudges.

*Some people had Blue-ray problems but mine worked just fine. You do have to install the program and probably update it though. The install is very fast and so was the update.

Other Thoughts: What else is there to say...

*Vista is already installed you just have to add your username and some other information.

*The bloatware is stupid but only a minor inconvenience.

*The keys are a little different than a normal laptop keyboard but I like the change in style.

*I guess I would say the mouse is kind of cheap but it is free so there really isn't anything to complain about.

*I almost forgot for anyone planning on gaming with this, it can run any game but not at max settings. So far I have tried Left for Dead (full aa) which runs maxed out with no lag and Crysis Warhead which runs at medium settings with no aa perfectly.
