Pros: Works well, adds a usb 3.0 header connection to older motherboards, which many front panel solutions require.
Cons: Close spacing and depth offset of header and power connectors means a header plug may be too wide, and will need to have one side shaved down to fit.
Overall Review: Is a good combo with the Rosewill usb 3.0 internal card reader.
Hard to swap cards
Pros: Works well as USB 3.0
Cons: Very hard to get cards in and out. This is the latching type where you push a card in and it latches, then push in again to release. Problem is it doesn't latch until the card is well below the surface of the slot, so you have to use a fingernail to get it in and out. Applies to both SD and microSD slots. You have to insert the microSD card upside down.
Easy
Overall Review: This is my second Crucial ssd. I always make a hd clone when I buy a new computer, and Crucial has a free cloning software download that makes it easy. It finds the new drive and initializes it so the OS can find it, and then runs the cloning operation. Speed depends on how the ssd is connected. I clone thru a usb ssd adapter cable, so it isn't as fast, but it works in the background so no penalties. Other than that, the ssd works fine.
Almost new
Pros: The computer looked almost new. The activation key is was built into the bios, so setup was easy, just waiting around for all the Windows updates from Microsoft. Plenty of usb ports. HDMI and DisplayPort. Only one audio out. Room for two ad-in cards.
Cons: Cover was hard to remove due to bent latch slider, 2 minutes to flatten the slider and works like a champ.
Overall Review: Recommended.
Easy cloning
Pros: Has link to Acronis True Image cloning software, which is easy to use.
Cons: Download of cloning program takes a while. May need a sata to usb cable, which are available and cheap on newegg.
Overall Review: Bought this to make a clone of my windows 7 ssd in case something happens now that microsoft isn't supporting 7. The Crucial clone boots the computer just like the original drive. I put it back in the box and set the box inside the computer case as a "rescue disk."
Solid
Pros: Built like a rock. Stainless bowl is heavy gauge. Orbital mixing action works well. A high quality, professional machine.
Cons: none
