Great SSD - No regrets
Pros: Huge improvement in W7 boot times and program load times compared to my old WD Caviar Black. Like another reviewer said - the OS boot time is about the same a the BIOS load. Very easy installation with included bracket. OS installed in lightning speed (actually, I had to do 2 OS installs b/c I needed to install Vista first, then toss that install with my W7 upgrade). Total for both OS installs was maybe 20 min. My mobo is SATA2, so this was a good fit for me. No problems whatsoever with this drive, it's the best upgrade I have done...ever!
Cons: Could be larger, but now I'm careful to save files to a standard HDD. With W7, Office 2007 and a few other programs loaded there is still over 70GB free space remaining so the small size is not really an issue so far. Other con is price, of course but that is a given at this point and I accepted that going in.
Creative GigaWorks
Pros: Very good sound for such small speakers. Nice looking. Front mounted headphone and aux-in jacks. Good price point.
Cons: Nothing.
Overall Review: Great speakers, I was looking for a decent set of stereo speakers to replace an existing set with a subwoofer that failed, these exceeded my expectation and have quite good bass considering the size. Highly recommend.
Great laptop for the money!
Pros: Sleek looks, loaded with features, very fast, great value!
Cons: None found yet, I noticed the sharp edge but honestly unless I had read the review below mentioning it, it may not have even registered for me.
Overall Review: This is a simply amazing laptop for the money, super fast boot up with hybrid SSD/7200 RPM HDD, great screen, nice form factor. Got mine at the Microsoft store for a great deal, 25% off MSRP. Highly recommend the MS store, they had it when all the other places including the egg were out of stock. for a bundle less.
Good enclosure
Pros: Low price, good looking, works as intended. Overall no real complaints. Would be nice to get an esata cable with it, but that is not a biggie.
Cons: Case is a little shiny, makes it look cheaper than it otherwise would. Have to hold the power button in for awhile to get it to shut down. The included USB cable is the shortest cable I have ever seen! Has a filter choke, though...
Great drive
Pros: Low price, good transfer rate for 5400RPM drive. Works with no problems or drama. Well packaged for shipment and even included the mounting screws (surprising for a bare drive)
Cons: NONE
Overall Review: Will buy more when I set up a external RAID array for my NAS.
Great router for the money
Pros: Low cost, easy setup. Big improvement in range and bandwidth/speed compared with my old Belkin G router. I have not upgraded to DD-WRT yet, I downloaded the firmware but I wanted to see how the stock firmware worked first. Have to say, I have no complaint with the unit as is so I am going to hold off reflashing for now. One great improvement for my setup is that is is way more stable with my Synology 210j NAS. With my old router, getting a network established was hit and miss. With this new guy, my network is up in seconds which is a real nice improvement. Another plus - Buffalo has tech support based in the US, and no 90-day support limit like Netgear. This is an important feature that got me looking at Buffalo in the first place. You may never need it, but it's nice to know there is decent support if you do.
Cons: The stand was a little loose at first, then I realized I needed to push hard to get it to snap in. No real other cons, maybe it would be nice to have network channel indication on the unit but this is nitpicking.
