Most Favorable Review

It amazes me how something as simple as a Backlit Motherboard eludes most Reviews

GIGABYTE GA-B85N Phoenix-WIFI LGA 1150 Intel B85 HDMI USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-B85N Phoenix-WIFI LGA 1150 Intel B85 HDMI USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard

Pros: this board is an absolute dream builders board, it has a great layout, easy on the hands and is a first boot and quick boot no issues all around performer, really if you are reading this Review, STOP RIGHT NOW and just buy the board , you won't regret it

Cons: in this day and age when a builder is planning a build that is to be noticed something as simple as stating that the motherboard is lit via LEDS, one would think it should be mentioned in the specs and or component listings, NOT A BAD THING , but if it were mentioned before i would of found another board for this build, its a shame really cause its in a case that doesn't do it justice

Seriously all the negative feedback is a result of lack of proper info reguarding this company or this product read on:

Lian Li DK-01 Black Aluminum Computer Desk (Computer Case with Legs)
Lian Li DK-01 Black Aluminum Computer Desk (Computer Case with Legs)

Pros: first off this product is NOT a desk for that product check here ==>http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112429&cm_re=lian_li_dk-02-_-11-112-429-_-Product this is the smaller version or coffee table if you will, as for cable management when you go wireless one must ask , what cables are you referring to or are you still stuck in the 80's? this setup is designed for a complete boxless setup or caseless set up, think about a small room that has limited space or a dorm room for example this is a great product, as for the people that refer to the aluminum looking cheap or not of good quality evidently do not know Lian Li their cases are what most MFG's try to achieve in quality bust lack in actual sell-able finished product. for example 99% of Lian Li's cases are cable and finger cut free featuring rolled or folded aluminum cutouts, premium edge guards, thick consistent and of fine quality aluminum, anodized finishes are of consistent color control through all parts seriously go to a pc shop and look at all the aluminum cases and especially the black cases and compare all the parts on other pc cases and you will notice a distinct difference in the color of other case mfg's and Lian Li's cases to an anodizer black is one of the hardest colors to apply as some have a reddish tinge where as others will have a blueish tinge, and the grade of aluminum denotes a lot of which dye will work best for the application its being used for, Lian Li has made it simple by using the same grade throughout its primary build so yes the premium price is due to a fine finished product that is consistent from start to finish, part fit is essential to any build, LL does it with no slop and excellent fitting components not to mention after they retire a case or a design you will soon there after see someone else buy the Copy-rites from them and release a re-badged case that is essentially one of their cases, lets think about cable management most companies out there give you the push out wire ties you know the ones they look like the ones you find under the hood of your car where it resembles someone with a die punch and a part press they often look like a hole with a punch and when applied to the part it cuts 2 slits and pushes a tab out so you can slide a zip tie into it to manage your cables, granted it works but when your trying for a slick build it lacks any kind of aesthetics and often makes the panel look distorted, really if i wanted that kind of attention inside my case i would fill it with pop rivets and make it look like ww2 bomber wing, look if you haven't owned a Lian Li case please post your comments on the ones you have owned and leave this space for those that do own them and stand by them as a company and product not as wishful think or an after though

Cons: i have owned and purchased and built and sold around 200 unique cases and dealt with many mfg's , I keep coming back to Lian Li for their quality and will continue to do so for years to come, I have yet to find a real Con on any of their cases as they are designed and built for a specific application and as long as you stay in those guide lines all the other MFG's out there that try and hook you with a gimmick ends up being just that...... a Gimmick

excellent PSU

Thermaltake SMART Series SP-550PCBUS 550 W ATX 12V 2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: I have had 7 of these of the 7 i have lost 0 of them, all are still in service

Cons: long cables and somewhat stiff bending radius's would be nice if they switched over to flat ribbons rather then bunched cables and perhaps release it in a short cable length for like itx platforms

if you want a great looking case with minimal features look no further

DIYPC V3plus-R Red Aluminum Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case
DIYPC V3plus-R Red Aluminum Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case

Pros: excellent Lil case for the cost and build quality breaks down easily plenty of room to store your psu cables out of harms way and will allow use of most full sized gpu's

Cons: i really am drawing a blank here, only con i can think of is more of a recommendation for the mfg, in future releases you might consider a slim DVD or blue ray

Great CPU i purchased solely on the reviews , and glad i did

Intel Pentium G3420 - Pentium Dual-Core Haswell Dual-Core 3.2 GHz LGA 1150 54W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80646G3420
Intel Pentium G3420 - Pentium Dual-Core Haswell Dual-Core 3.2 GHz LGA 1150 54W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80646G3420

Pros: I hear peeps constantly talking about how you need atleast an Icore5 to game with and atleast a quad-core, truth is that's a bunch of mollarky, this CPU does great in my itx build with 8gb of g.skill ram win7 pro, and an nvidia 560 well worth the cost and performance isn't bad at all 12 seconds start up on a 1tb 3.5 drive

Cons: heatsink could be a little more robust instead of just an aluminum finned design,

WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD10EZEX
WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD10EZEX

Pros: Glad to see DA-EGG has upgraded its bare drive packaging ...finally after how many years??? ...ok enough of that the drive worked the moment it was plugged in.

Cons: however even after isolating it in a quad grommet noise cancellation setup i did notice a rather loud ticking in the drive that could be heard well and clear of the case itself even after it was sealed, not sure if this is what i am to expect of WD but if this is an indication of things to come I'll be looking elsewhere for my drives
