Perfect for a Storage Server
Pros: This was the perfect drive from my mini storage server. Runs cool and have had no problems over a year.
Cons: None yet after a year.
Overall Review: This drive is in a mini case with only a single fan. No issues with heat at all over the last year.
Good Heaset
Pros: I have a large head and these have a comfortable fit and weight. I was able to use them 10+ hours at a LAN event without fatigue. The mic sounds great in Mumble and Teamspeak. The padding quality feels like it is going to last years. The 7.1 works great in TF2, and audio in Elite Dangerous is excellent.
Cons: There are two blinking LEDs on the cord located on the volume and mute buttons. THEY ARE VERY BRIGHT. As in they cast shadows across 30 feet of my basement bright. There is no way to disable these bright LEDs in the software. If I do not face the LEDs away from my monitor they cast an annoying glare that is hard on the eyes. The Software in Windows 8.1 is a bit limited IMO. When I remove these headsets and try to go back to using my onboard sound card I will have to reboot the PC to make the change. I am not certain if this is a Corsair driver issue or Windows 8.1 but keep that in mind.
Overall Review: These are open back headphones, you will hear outside noise with them, that is what I got these myself. If the designer and marketing people are watching these reviews, please stop, just STOP with putting super bright LED lights on everything, or at least have a software solution to disable them. I do not need a light on a headphone cable that shines a glare on my monitor, illuminates the faces of people next to me at a LAN party or that can be used as emergency lighting on an airplane. The fit, materials used finish, audio and weight are all acceptable and for the price are hard to beat at this price point. Plantronics has a headset called RIG at this price-point that I got to use at a LAN which has a better feel to it and slightly better software if you looking for an alternative.
Perfectly described
Pros: Lenovo T61 Laptop. Monitor was exactly the part described by the vendor. There are multiple youtube videos to show how to swap the screens. Screen is much brighter than the old one.
Cons: Can be a slight con for some people but this is a glossy screen, not a matte.
Overall Review: Make sure that you know your monitor size. This is not the widescreen version.
EVGA IS awesome
Pros: Using this in an SLI setup on an 850W Corsair PSU. Works perfectly
Cons: None, none at all.
Overall Review: EVGA as a company is awesome. I've had only one issue with them in 7 years. I had a video card with a warped heatsink that caused a premature failure of a RAM module. The RMA was simple and quick. EVGA loves the community and I have zero problems suggesting their products. If you have a choice between EVGA and someone else with all else being equal, go EVGA.
Its Windows
Pros: With this you can get a Win7 downgrade license. Need to run Win8.1 to use DX12 when it comes out.
Cons: Metro UI.
Overall Review: Windows 7 is better, but with this OS you can downgrade. IF you game, you will need Win 8.1 to get DirectX 12 benefits next year.
It's a cable
Pros: It's a cable, it works.
Cons: It ships from China and took 14 days to arrive.
Overall Review: Spend the extra dollar and buy from somewhere in the US if you need it faster.
