Overall Review: This is just a preliminary review because I have only had the drive a day, but I want to point out a couple of things. I'm not the first to note these, but this should be repeated often, I think. If your drive is not recognized, try jumping pins 5 & 6. This is a very common problem, perhaps only with VIA chipsets, that seems only to be discussed right here. AFTER I jumped pins 5 & 6, I was able to partition and format the drive in QTparted in Mepis Linux; works fine so far. Also, this drive has 2 power connectors, the new SATA and legacy (as IDE drives have); you can use only one connector at a time, CAREFUL! Using both connectors can fry the drive.

Pros: Excellent display, comes with all cables.

Cons: It's difficult to adjust the viewing angle and the base is not the most stable. Mine has a stuck-on subpixel. So I have this small red dot that is always on. The thing that really burns my buhtt, though, is the fact that the Acer manual says that this is not a defect. So what is it? A bonus? I don't think so. I'm rating this quite harshly for the stuck subpixel and the manual, so take that into consideration. It is otherwise a very good monitor.

Overall Review: I love Newegg, but I think some things are better bought at a local store that has a good return policy.

Pros: This is an exceptionally good humidifier for small or medium size rooms. It is quiet, both audibly and visually. I.e., no blindingly bright blue LEDs to keep one awake at night. Its output is adjustable with a humidistat that actually works. If I set it to a certain humidity level, say 40%, it will work to provide that level of humidity. I have an older Rosewill humidifier that has a simple output control. If I also use that humidifier in the same medium sized room this TaoTronics decreases its output in order to keep the level at 40% and not over. If I shut off the Rosewill, located about 10 feet away, the TaoTronics increases its output to make up for the loss of the Rosewill's output. The LED display panel is dimmable and can be shut off. I am very impressed with this humidifier and it's not expensive.

Cons: The only con, if there really is one, is that the "Microporous cartridge filter" is supposed to be replaced after six months or so, but who sells them and for how much?

Overall Review: I highly recommend this humidifier. It's a product that is as good as it claims to be, and that's unusual. I see it's out of stock right now, but I will look for it in the future and will buy another one, nothing lasts forever.

Pros: This is the Kingston 32GB DataTraveler Kyson USB 3.2 Gen 1 Metal Flash Drive (DTKN/32GB) bught from 3C. Shipping was quite good. The thumb drive itself is metal except for an end piece for a lanyard, etc. A very definite pro is that it does not get extremely hot when transferring large files, unlike some other small thumb drives. The SanDisk Ultra Flair is prettier though. Speeds are very good, both read and write, judging by file transfers and tests with KDiskMark.

Cons: Cons are very minor. It's not sexy looking and doesn't look to be super rugged either. Neither of these matters for my usage.

Overall Review: I would recommend and would, probably will, buy again.

Pros: It seems to function fairly well for short runs before it has a chance to heat up. It would make a good space heater for a cold room. It's nice looking and would make a nice paperweight.

Cons: I made the mistake of buying this when it was on sale for what seemed a very good price, and because the Newegg reviews were very positive. What I didn't know was that originally this extermal drive was sold with a very nice helium filled hard drive inside the case that ran very cool and quiet, but WD now has replaced that drive with a cheaper air filled drive which runs hot, hot, HOT! Idling it goes up to about 55 deg C in an air conditioned room, ambient temp about 23 deg C. It has reached 58 deg C running a light file transfer. When I saw the temp in SMART I was shocked and did some internet searching and found various articles and found out what had happened, that WD had replaced the good internal drives with the current ones, the WD101EMAZ-11G7DA0 drive. Incidentally, it doesn't seem to exist on WD's website. Guys who "shuck" these drives, that is, take the drive out of its case, find the current drives run unusually hot... even bare and in cases with good air flow. Very different from the original version. I contacted WD customer support about the drive I bought but they were not much help. One CSR didn't want to get into temperature at all, just wanted me to run a WD Windows test program and also let me know that the drive is not intended for Linux. Like an external drive, connected to the computer via USB, is going to give the computer a social disease or something. Their Windows test program, incidentally, uses SMART but does not give any specific results, just pass/fail. Brilliant!

Overall Review: Well, never say never, but between this and the WD SMR fiasco I don't see any new WD drives in my future. I do not recommend this external drive for any purpose whatsoever.

Pros: decent though not stellar performance.

Cons: Deceptive description, this is a DRAMless device, there is no DRAM caching Short warranty period I have previously bought, and been happy with, ADATA products. This looked to be an excellent bargain price for a quality product with DRAM caching. Unfortunately, as numerous online reviews show, this is a mediocre performer, and utterly DRAM-less. It also doesn't play well with SMART. I wish I had not been so trusting and had done some investigation before buying. I feel like I was taken. I do not recommend.

Overall Review: No DRAM, a mediocre performer, and a poor warranty. Avoid.

I have twice ordered several new but older hard drives from goHardDrive and I have been totally pleased both times. I received exactly what I ordered and the drives were packaged extremely well and delivered surprisingly fast. I was impressed on both orders, especially considering that what I ordered was not high dollar items. I had no problems so I had no need to contact their customer service. Recommended.

This worked out perfectly. I was looking for a Brother all-in-one with fax capability and they had one on sale at a great price. I ordered it over the weekend, it shipped on Monday, and it was delivered on Tuesday by UPS. The package was fine (mfr's box), all-in-one works fine, no complaints whatsoever. Since I got what I ordered quickly and with no problem I didn't need to contact seller, so I can't say anything about customer service if there's a problem.

I received the hard drive promptly and it was extremely well-packed, better than Newegg does.
