Great printer

brother HL-3040CN Digital Color LED Printer with Networking
brother HL-3040CN Digital Color LED Printer with Networking

Pros: Easy setup in Win7 for a peer-to-peer network. From all of the previous positive reviews it seemed that this is a fairly high-quality printer. I did not expect razor-sharp imaging from the LED lasers. While not photo-quality, the printing quality of this printer is just fine. It is better than the last 3 inkjet printers I have had.

Cons: None.

Never did work, don't know why

BIOSTAR P4M800 Pro-M7 LGA 775 VIA P4M800 PRO Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
BIOSTAR P4M800 Pro-M7 LGA 775 VIA P4M800 PRO Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Newegg's support was okay, although when I asked to return the processor for replacement, they referred me to Intel. I reminded Newegg that their web page stated that the proc was covered by their Processor Return Policy, then they gave me an RMA so I could start the replacement process.

Cons: I assembled this board with an Intel P4 650 processor and Kingston Value RAM DDR-533, all compatible according to tbe board specs. Powered it up in a new Broadway case and got no beep, no video so no help. The keyboard lit up and the fans ran, indicating that power was there. I sent the board to Biostar and they replaced it. Biostar also said that the memory and proc are compatible with the board. Newegg replaced the processor. Re-assembled the system. Still nothing. All the power supply volts are okay. Tried all the tests and tricks on the Biostar website, few as they are. I don't think these components are really compatible, but I don't know for sure because there is no convenient way to get diagnostic info from the board without the video active. Totally bummed out over this.

Overall Review: I'm out in the boonies, so if I have a problem like this, I'm just stuck. Can you imagine trying to solve this problem via email? Could take a month! $250 down the drain. Good thing it wasn't more than that.
