Great purchase all around

ASUS ZenBook Intel Core i5-2557M 4GB Memory 128 GB SSD Intel HD Graphics 13.3" 1600 x 900 Ultrabook Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit UX31E-DH52

Pros: Decent size SSD, nice screen with good resolution, light and sleek design that those around you will envy. Fresh Windows 7 install went very smoothly. huge pro: 1 free year of accidental damage protection, sign up as soon as you buy this thing!

Cons: Physical buttons on touchpad are iffy.

Overall Review: A lot of the concern on this laptop seems to revolve around the touchpad and keyboard. I love them, so it really is about personal preference and/or getting used to using them. Functionally, they work how they are supposed to. I DO think that the physical clickers on the touchpad don't work well at all, you have to really press on them. The multi-finger gestures built into the drivers (no bloatware needed!) are fantastic though and remove the need for the physical buttons. All of the Asus bloatware is worthless in my opinion. The instant on program must do nothing but take up space because the laptop wakes up in <2 sec regardless of it being on. All of the power management can be done using Windows. I did a fresh install of Windows 7 and it went smoothly. Just make sure that you plug your USB dvd drive into the USB 2.0 port. The Windows 7 installer does not have the drivers for the USB 3.0 port and it will not be able to recognize the drive. Make sure to update the BIOS too!

Awesome Heatsink

KINGWIN XT-1264 120mm Xtreme Direct H.T.C. (Heat-pipe Touch Chip) CPU Cooler w/ 1366 Bracket
KINGWIN XT-1264 120mm Xtreme Direct H.T.C. (Heat-pipe Touch Chip) CPU Cooler w/ 1366 Bracket

Pros: Awesome heatsink! Keeps my i7 920 overclocked to 3.5 GHz at 40c idle easy, hottest temp is 70c when working, I don't really push mine though. If you're overclocking to higher speeds, definitely go for liquid. This baby works as well as any other air cooler out there, for $50+ cheaper.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Fits fine in mid tower, wouldn't go smaller though.

Good buy

SAMSUNG SpinPoint T Series HD403LJ 400GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Worked great from install. Very fast and extremely quiet. I actually don't ever hear it.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Overall Review: Lots of fast storage for a low price!

Alright

SCEPTRE X20WG-1080P Black 20.1" 5ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1,000:1, US Warranty
SCEPTRE X20WG-1080P Black 20.1" 5ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1,000:1, US Warranty

Pros: This monitor is great, it has good color and a large viewing area.

Cons: Nothing big... The monitor makes a noticeable humming sound when there is a lot of black on the screen but I'm usually listening to music so I don't mind.

Overall Review: Great for the price, good picture, anything you would really want from a widescreen monitor. Definitely a cheaper brand but that's why it's cheaper in the first place.

Cheap and Works Great

TRENDnet TK-400K KVM Switch Kit
TRENDnet TK-400K KVM Switch Kit

Pros: Very compact, Easy set-up, and it does exactly as it's supposed to. It has a manual switch on the device as well as hotkeys through the keyboard. It's also REALLY CHEAP! Great buy if you own multiple computers/servers!

Cons: I hate the scroll lock hot key but it's nothing to get teary eyed about...
