Crossfire bridge not needed for R9 GPUs
Pros: This is basically a 7870 to 7950, if I'm thinking correctly. Tons of these reviews are complaining as cons that there is no crossfire bridge. AMD has stated that no crossfire bridge is needed to crossfire R9 series GPUs.
Cons: None. If you want to crossfire, pop a second card in and presto, no crossfire bridge needed.
Terrible specs for the money
Pros: Pros are, it's pre-built and it looks fine.
Cons: PC is way too overpriced to only have an APU, 16GB of RAM and a 7770. $900 can get so much more by building it yourself.
Second RMA of this product...
Pros: Nice monitor, obviously. Bezel size is one of a kind and the picture is great for TN.
Cons: The quality control on this product is so bad. I am on my second Swift and I'm having the same problem. Dead pixel, dead center of the screen. The panel lasted for one single week after the RMA arrived and then a pixel started to die and is now fully dead. Second time and now that I'm out of the 30 days, Newegg will not return or refund my purchase or give me any sort of compensation for all the hassle I've had with this monitor.
Overall Review: I love this monitor and it'd be great, but the quality control is too bad to gamble with. I'd go with a PG279Q, but I don't care for the extra response time or the IPS panel for an extra $400. I'll be dropping Newegg as my primary PC component shop and to a better company with a better return policy. If my replacement was still defective after I returned it once, I should at least be able to exchange again or get a refund. I feel as though that ASUS should've tested each of these monitors before they sent them out. I know this RMA hassle isn't because of ASUS and they have a return policy for such things, but it'd be nice to not have to deal with this after having to RMA once already.
Dead pixel day one.
Pros: Awesome monitor, fantastic response time, beautiful display with great color reproduction for TN panel. Large enough for a good "cinematic" experience, (minus the 24fps), but small enough not to be overwhelming and be able to play your games with sharp visuals up close.
Cons: Got the monitor, hooked it up. All cables in the box, just like I bought it brand new. As soon as I hooked it up, bright green dead pixel in the center of my screen. Tried all the stuck pixel fixes for hours, nothing seemed to help. Playing games, watching movies or TV is very difficult with how distracting the dot is. It sticks out like a moon in the middle of the night. Can't do anything on the monitor without it glowing and annoying the heck out of me.
Overall Review: Will most likely stay away from ASUS monitors from now on. I had heard horror stories about the quality control on the ROG Swift PG278Q on YouTube from multiple reputable sources and I should have listened. I thought I'd get lucky and I played with fire and got burned.
Galaxy's fault, not Newegg's.
Pros: This was a decent card while it worked. Played most 2009-2010 games at highest settings.
Cons: Literally the SECOND day after owning this card, my screen would just randomly turn black during light usage for 5-8 minutes. Turns out, when I opened my case, the card was making a very quiet, high pitched squeal and was barely putting out any air at all. The fan had died and the card was overheating. Very poor quality product. This GPU manufacturer will never get my business again.
Overall Review: Anyone considering this card as a cheap replacement, please heed these warnings in the reviews. This card WILL fail shortly after purchase. This product is just faulty by design.
