Beast
Pros: Overclockable, runs cool, fan only gets loud when forced above 70% speed.
Cons: none
Overall Review: I use MSI afterburner to bump the voltage to 1.05v and I can get 900mhz core 2000mhz memory. Adjust fans to keep it below 75c load. Dominates BF3 everything maxed 1920x1200 resolution at 60+ fps. Beastmode!
1 out of 3 crapped out
Pros: Overclocks well, stable.
Cons: 1 of my sticks died, not sure when.
Overall Review: Might have been DOA or due to overclocking... noticed after 6 months of use that only 2 were working.
I like it
Pros: bright, good color representation, no calibration needed out of the box, no dead pixels, very sturdy stand, handle on the back of monitor for transport
Cons: poor viewing angle, but that is to be expected from this type of panel.
Overall Review: This replaced my Samsung 226BW and I can say that it is a major improvement. The difference between 1680x1050 and 1920x1200 is amazing. I was blown away by the brightness and how white white actually is. The Samsung seems to have a brown tint compared to this. The only tweak I had to do was turn the brightness down to 50. I left contrast at the default 85 and the color profile as reddish. The monitor will have a blue tint on the neutral profile. Reddish and sRBG seem almost the same. I didn't notice any difference in the 5ms response time as compared to the 2ms of the Samsung. This is designed as a business monitor but I will be using it for gaming mostly and it does not disappoint. A high quality product in my opinion. Monitor settings are very basic: brightness, contrast, color, nothing else really. I do not notice any input lag.
the best
Pros: Blazing fast boot and game load times, no defraging neccessary, and I don't have to worry about what programs load when my computer starts because the desktop loads instantaneously.
Cons: none
Overall Review: I've had this drive as my system drive for 5 months with no problems at all. I was blown away by the game loading times. I'm always the first in the server, all my clanmates are very jealous.
BEAST MODE ENABLED
Pros: Extremely overclockable, great value for the performace, runs cooler and uses less power then gtx200 series.
Cons: SLI on my mobo places them right smack on top of each other, and with the fan in the middle of the heatsink, the one on top runs about +10C hotter then the other under load. I had GTX260's in SLI and their temps were the same because the fan blew air across the length of the card. However they still run way cooler then the gtx260's overall.
Overall Review: I overclocked them to 840 core and 1830 memory using EVGA precision. Huge improvement in Arma2!!! I was blown away when I put all setting on max with high AA and the max draw distance and get a constant 85fps. Absolutely unexpected!!!
Power Plant
Pros: Powering an overclocked i7 920 @ 3.7ghz and GTX260 SLI machine for over a year. 6 fans, 2 cathode lights, 2 hard drives, sound card, and TV tuner as well.
Cons: None
