Great game, one of the reasons to go next gen

Pros: I'm a long time Call of Duty fan and am new to the Battlefield franchise. This is a welcome change from the constant rehash and repeat Call of Dutys since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The single player campaign has a great storyline, excellent level design, great graphics (not a huge jump from last gen, but the frame rate is definitely smoother and the graphics are more detailed) and very nice gameplay mechanics. I had issues with joining a match when I first got it, but now ever since an update and putting my PS4 in the DMZ of my router (I forgot to at first) I've been able to join matches without a hitch. I've yet to have my save file corrupt on me *crosses fingers*.
Cons: The game crashed once so far since I've gotten it. I hope it's the last time it happens and I've gotten an update since then. Also, it seems like it takes a very long time to get new weapons and weapon upgrades in the multiplayer compared to Call of Duty.
Overall Review: This was one of the reasons I bought a PS4. I played the beta version of it on PC and had loads of fun even though it was just one level. However I prefer the controller over KB&M (just personal preference, much more used to it) and would rather have this game on the PS4 than PC. It actually runs smoother on my PS4 than my PC even after some upgrades, but I only upgraded my PC to a mid range gaming PC at best.
Vertical banding issues

Pros: Built-in TV tuner, a good amount of inputs including an analog component and composite input, good decent size for a bedroom or office. It's also still recognized as a 2nd monitor on the PC even when you change the input, which is what I wanted.
Cons: Vertical banding. It's really annoying, and it seems to plague this TV model. I tried two different ones, both the same model, and they both have it, one worse than the other. If it wasn't for this problem I would have given this TV an easy 5 eggs, but I must give it an average 3 eggs because of this annoying problem.
Overall Review: About the other reviewer mentioning that this TV/monitor doesn't turn off when you turn off the PC, it is annoying but not a big deal. It does eventually turn off on it's own and doesn't take that long for it to do it. I'd say the vertical banding issue on this model is much more of a concern than that.
HDCP does work

Pros: I actually reviewed this TV before but would like to address the HDCP issues other buyers have been mentioning here. Before I get to that though, I've had this TV since July and it has been a fantastic purchase. The picture quality is remarkable for the price we paid, the reflection on the TV is much better than our old CRT that we replaced this with in our living room (we have the front door window beaming the sun right at the TV during the afternoon), and have had no issues whatsoever. This is mainly used by my parents in the living room with over the air digital television so I never actually got around to testing HDCP devices on this until seeing these reviews mentioning the HDCP issues. Well, being concerned that our TV might suffer the same problem, I went ahead and tested out my Xbox 360 on all 3 HDMI ports on the side. No issues whatsoever. I played a few games and watched a few movies, no HDCP issues. Even though our TV will hardly being having HDCP connected devises (my parents will always stick with over the air DTV) it's good to know that it does work. Just for fun I even tried out an NESRGB on the TV over an external component to HDMI converter that gave out only a 240p resolution and it looked fantastic!
Cons: The long wait time when turning it on that I mentioned in my first review. Also, it would have been great if it accepted 240p resolution over component for retro gaming, but it's not a big deal. Most big name brand TVs don't either anyway. It does accept 240p over HDMI however.
Overall Review: I don't know why other buyers here are complaining about HDCP issues as we've encountered none on ours. They should send their TVs back for a replacement.
Great graphics update

Pros: Anybody saying they don't notice a graphics update on this version compared to last gen is understating it. You really have to play the game to notice the upgrade though, youtube video compression makes this game look a lot worse than it really is. Much more detail in pretty much everything, much more clearer, more smoother frame rate, and smoother edges on everything especially the players (less jaggy lines). If you're a PC gamer you can pretty much compare this to setting Madden 25 from last gen on very high video settings. Or on a much more simpler analogy, grass on last gen Madden 25 (Xbox 360, PS3) looks like artificial turf compared to the grass on the PS4 version. Gameplay seems a bit better but not by much which isn't a bad thing, just having the graphics in more detail definitely makes the experience more enjoyable though.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: If you have a PS4 this game is worth a look in person, you will notice a difference between this version's graphics and last gen's. I haven't gone back to the Xbox 360 version since I bought this, other than to play my friends head to head who still don't have a next gen console.
Died within a week

Pros: For the very short time this hard drive worked, it was very fast and very quiet.
Cons: Even after seeing the bad reviews I decided to give this drive a try since it was on sale and was 7200 rpm, 500 gb. The drive completely failed within a week. I started to hear loud clicking, screeching and clanking noises while working on my netbook followed with Windows freezing. At that point I knew the drive was dead but decided to give it one last chance and do a full format to possibly save the drive. Half-way through the format, the drive once again made loud clicking, screeching and clanking noises and then the format stopped and failed. I shipped it back for a full refund and I do not think I will be buying another HDD from this brand that I never even heard of before.
Overall Review: I would have rated this one egg if not for Newegg's prompt refund. I suppose I’m glad it died early so that it was still eligible for RMA and also while my OS install was still fresh. Like the old saying, sooner rather than later.
Doesn't find my headset

Pros: None
Cons: It won't find my bluetooth stereo headset at all, making it useless to me. Waste of money.
Overall Review: I bought this hoping it would fixing the lagging sound issue I had with my other bluetooth dongle because my other one was older, but this didn't even find my headset at all. What a waste.
