Pros: Plugged right in, auto set to 1600, went to bios and set to xmp profile 1 and it set right to 1866. Very common occurrence so no eggs knocked off. Despite what others have said this works with at advertised speeds with the fx 8350. The sticks feel sturdy, I expect them to last for years to come.
Other Thoughts: Came with a nice blue heatsink attached to the ram that looks good with the rest of my blue led fansREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: This board feels extremely sturdy, it feels like it will lasts for years to come because of the quality put into it. Has more than enough pci than you could ever want, and you can xfire or sli and two of them run x16! Pair this with the fx 8350 vishera and you have a machine that will keep on giving and blow you away.
Cons: This board doesn't come with screws to install in your case so make sure to have some laying around or visit your local computer store. One of the ram slots is faulty in that it will see the amount of ram installed in it however it is not usable. I would rma but I don't plan on having more than 16g at any given time and don't have the time to wait for a new one.
Other Thoughts: Absolutely horrible packaging, when it arrived it had looked like someone literally ripped open the package to see what was inside. The mobo was on the bottom of the box with nothing under it to absorb falls and your average shipping adventure. I would definitely call and specify a trusted shipping company when you order.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This is the best bang for your buck you can get especially when you can find it on sale! Once all the cores start up for something like battlefield they just roll through it all l;like it's nothing. Also great for overclocking and or under clocking if you are into that stuff. With the smart turbo core enabled it automatically pushes mine a little past 4.2ghz while gaming because it averages around 58c while gaming on the stock cooler.
Cons: The cooler that comes with it is rather pathetic looking, it get's the job done although it does get really loud. I was advise in investing in some sort of water cooler or a aftermarket air cooler if you don't want all that noise, it is loud enough to hear over headphones if your tower happens to sit right next to you.
Other Thoughts: Although the cooler gets the job done it looks extremely shady. I was very doubtful it would do its job when gaming, however it keeps the temps right around 58c when all cores are about 70-80% so I can't say too much.READ FULL REVIEW
