Pros: Good platform for building a relatively inexpensive high performance system. Benchmarks very well with Intel i7 960 CPU. Very quiet unless you need to add the supplemental fan. Well laid out chassis design. Ample USB ports.

Cons: BIOS R1.1 is incompatible with Windows 7 64-bit! Was not able to install Windows 7 because it was so painfully slow (it would have taken days at the rate it was going). Had to revert BIOS back to 1.0c to install Windows 7. Disappointed in SuperMicro support because they don't have any warning or work around posted about the incompatibility. I got a verbal confirmation from their European support that the problem is real but they don't have a solution other reverted the BIOS. I had to call back to the older 1.0c BIOS. I wasted a lot of time trying to figure this out which could have been easily avoided if SM was forthright about the BIOS problem.

Overall Review: Windows XP SP3 32-bit runs fine on either BIOS R1.1 or 1.0c. I would have rated this system much higher if not for the Windows 7 incompatibilities.
