I recommend
Pros: All you need to have good IR link between one nice and clean room - source (Actually you can try to make it two rooms if you are creative, I guess. I have not tried yet) and another - destination where your heavy, bulky and ugly equipment lives. Everything is straightforward and works out of the box - cannot be simpler. Sensors are sensitive, emitters are powerful enough for me.
Cons: I want to keep the amplifier piece which requires ac/dc together with the rest of the controlled equipment and have just a small sensor in my living room. The cord from that sensor to the amplifier is too short - not very convenient - that is why you get only 4 eggs. I believe you can supply 10 feet or something like that extender w/o changing the price. All the pieces are not really meant to be hidden/installed into the walls.
Overall Review: You are getting IR amplifier/hub. If you are DYI kind of person I have a feeling (have not tried yet) that you can supplement this kit with nice "hidden" sensors/emitters from other similar equipment available online which requires more expensive amplifier. Base price Newegg sells it for is too attractive.
Died in a few weeks
Pros: Do not see any
Cons: Died in a few weeks. All my photos from the last trip were there so it is extremely painful. Beware.
Pros: Same as original - what did you expect?
Cons: Quite expensive.
Overall Review: Came in a little bit damaged package so I had to assemble pieces into one
Pros: Very good if you need to scan end email. Consume little space. Decent quality.
Cons: Installation takes a little bit longer than you want. Hard to position document straight - requires some skill/exercise to get good quality.
Overall Review: I guess you cannot find anything better in this class anyway
Pros: Very good set of features (Alternative firmware is recommended though). Beats all competitors in it's class.
Cons: Asus rebate program is unbelievable. It's extremely complicated to get any money from them. Be prepared that you won't get your rebate.
Overall Review: I don't really use 11n.. and don't feel like I will in the nearest few years. If you need the really high speed you need a wire.
