This review is from: nMEDIAPC PRO-LCD Media Center Programmable LCD
Pros: Easy to install. Looks really good. Displays nearly all the information I would have it display. Fairly easy to program. The print is easy to read from up to 8 feet away.
Cons: Wish I could change the color to red or white rather than being stuck with the blue. Also a few options I'd like to see in the programming software, like how long to hold at the end of scrolled text. Also changing temperature display in the programming software from C to F does not change what is displayed on the LCD bar.
Other Thoughts: Overall this is a very good upgrade for the nMedia case. Well worth the money! Also, contrary to several other reviews, I had no difficulty installing the software on Windows 7 64-bit.
You will need to install a free program called "Speedfan" for the LCD bar to get information from your motherboard.
This review is from: nMEDIAPC Black Aluminum / Acrylic / Steel HTPC 6000B ATX Media Center / HTPC Case
Pros: VERY well constructed, sturdy, and absolutely beautiful. It matches the look of my A/V components perfectly.
Hard drive cage pivots up and out for easy access. 120mm fan on side with space for second one on the other side (which I did install), blows directly across the drive cage, with space for up to 6 drives.
Plenty of space and excellent air flow. CPU temp running 39-42C with the unit inside a media cabinet that only has a couple inches of space around it.
Cons: Very deep. If you're placing this in a media cabinet, you should probably pick up right angle power connector and HDM adapter if you're using HDMI for A/V output, as that buys you an extra inch or two to slide it back into the cabinet. Also very heavy. Nearly 17 pounds empty, and 25 to 30 pounds once components are added.
Other Thoughts: Stock case has an LED in the right side window which reads "HOME THEATER PC", which looks pretty good. But, pick up the optional LCD screen to go in there, its definitely a good upgrade as it can be programmed to display a lot of critical information.
This thing is unlike any computer case I've ever seen. I love the look and functionality of it!
Pros: It worked pretty well, while it worked. It never fully lived up to my original expectations for a card of his magnitude, but my processor may have been holding it back. It did operate very smoothly for most operations, and medium-intensity games.
Cons: Purchased/installed in July 2012, it cooked itself in May 2014. I'm not much of a gamer, but I decided to try a graphics intense racing game, and this card cooked the very first time I played it. When I say cooked, I mean it got hot enough to smoke and almost damaged my entire system. Will be contacting ZOTAC for warranty information.
Other Thoughts: I must say, I'm rather disappointed, given the money spent on this card and the fact that it didn't last 2 years.READ FULL REVIEW
