ASUS N56JN-EB71 Gaming Laptop Intel Core i7 4710HQ (2.50GHz) 8GB Memory 750GB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GT 840M 2GB DDR3 15.6

Pros: It really is a fast and easy to use Laptop. Other than windows8.1, it works right out of the box, startup is quick and painless and I got the laptop in 3 days. Very quiet and lighter than I expected, even with the battery.

Cons: Windows 8.1 I honestly hate windows 8x. The operating system reminds me of what happens to a monkey when it eats fermented fruit, goes nuts on a tree and falls off.

Other Thoughts: I really wanted to give this 5 eggs but that Ethernet port on the left side I think was designed to tick people off. I can see now why older folks look at laptops and cant find the Ethernet port. The slight slide down -guard- is pointless as it makes it difficult to just unclip and pull the rj45 out. Now you got to take effort not to break it off or putting it in. Also, I cannot locate a recovery DVD maker anywhere. In fact, on the CD and already on the laptop, that option Backup & Restore, is empty. Also, perhaps Im not keen to microsoft's genius, but I don't understand why there are two drives. One for the OS and one for the The keyboard, though sleek, lacks notification lights like Num lock and removing the white/blue FN keyboard visual was a bad idea. to maybe save on ink? The key placement takes a bit getting used to.

4 out of 5 eggs Not what you would expect but good 08/13/2014

This review is from: A4 Handheld Color Hand HD Film Support USB Portable Document Photo Scanner

Pros: Easy to scan, ideal resolution, Works with windows XP sp3, saved me hours from having to take photos out of an old scrap book, scanning perfectly over laminated images

Cons: Will not, so it seems- work hooked up to a USB port and requires a battery, Website is not very helpful, took almost 2 weeks to get to me, (was from china). You need a micro SD card. I

Other Thoughts: I do not use the software that came with this. It is very easy to figure out and the battery last a good long time. Odd how the intensity of the scan light only reflects the speed at which you roll the scanner over what you're scanning but still, it really did a good job. I just scanned at high resolution and moved the images straight from the hand held scanner (Micro SD) and to my pc and edited them there. It lets you know during the scanning if there was an error but hardly saw an error in the images when I got them on to my PC. Seeing as it's designed to be portable, I can pass on the need for a AA battery and it not working straight on the USB port. The only reason why it's not getting 5 stars is the shipping time and internal software seemed unuseful.

Intel Core i5-3450S Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 2.8GHz (3.5GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 65W Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2500 BX80637I53450S

Pros: Using this CPU with the Intel BOXDB75EN LGA 1155 Intel B75 SATA 6Gb/s mother board, I was able to play DC Universe on line flawlessly, this was with no Graphics card. The CPU runs cool and quiet even with the stock fan. I dont over clock, and I am very content with the CPU performance.

Cons: The inability for the 4 cores to share a process seems bad, but I haven't see it run into any lag issues yet.

Other Thoughts: Hearing that awful crunch sound when installing the CPU brought back bad memories when I used to crack old AMD glass core CPUs. Don't worry, it's not a bad sound when you hear it installing this CPU
