Solid System, has some quirks though
Pros: I've built 4 of these now. All were quick to setup and get running. Dual Display output is nice with 23" monitors.
Cons: - There seems to be an incompatibility with Asus (VX228H) monitors using a passive MiniDP to HDMI cable. The monitor would not be detected during POST. Once the system was booted, If I reseated the cable on the computer side, the monitor would be detected and display the desktop until the next reboot. Issue resolved with an active cable. This problem didn't seem to occur with older Asus DVI monitors using a passive MiniDP to DVI cable. Gigabyte esupport (261417) stated that an active cable shouldn't be needed but were of little help to resolve the issue. - All came with bios F7, had to upgrade to bios F8 for Windows 10 compatibility.
Overall Review: -Used Mushkin 16GB -Used Crucial 250GB mSATA drives
DOA
Pros: None.
Cons: Couldn't be detected by system. When powered on it made a scraping noise continuously. RMA'd back to Newegg for Refund.
Overall Review: Had used a couple Toshiba drives in the past without issue.
Missing Cables
Pros: Nice display
Cons: Comes with foreign power cords with adapters so they work in the US. Also does not include DisplayPort cables.
Incomplete Packaging
Pros: Very nice over all display and size for the price.
Cons: I've bought two of these and Viewsonic does not include a DVI cable in their packaging. It only comes with the analog RGB cable. If Viewsonic wants to save costs, they should include the DVI cable and leave out the RGB cable. RGB cables are surplus and can be obtained more easily.
Overall Review: I would have given this monitor 5 stars were it not missing the DVI cable. Asus includes both in their packaging.
Great Power Supply, but failed
Pros: Great power supply at a great price point. Have built 7 business class workstations with this power supply.
Cons: My 7th power supply failed after running for only about 2 hours. Didn't even get the OS completely installed.
Overall Review: RMA back to NEWEGG, however it sucks that I have to spend $15.00 to send it back to them for what was effectively a DOA product.
