An Excellent Choice

Drobo Network Attached Storage - 5 Bay Array with mSATA SSD Acceleration - Gigabit Ethernet port (DRDS4A21)
Drobo Network Attached Storage - 5 Bay Array with mSATA SSD Acceleration - Gigabit Ethernet port (DRDS4A21)

Pros: The Drobo 5N is a huge improvement over my previous NAS storage unit even though the old unit had a Giga-bit network connection it was no match for the Drobo's speed. There are several different types of drives in my Drobo and once prepared work together without issue. Some drives take a little longer to prepare than others but I was aware before hand ... not really a Drobo issue. And once prepared these drives work as well as the rest. The Drobo's processor handles files and sorts large folders much, much faster than my old unit. Considering the sheer number of files in these "large" folders the Drobo is quite impressive. I have not yet installed an accelerator PCB yet. I am looking at the Plextor M5M but I'm in no hurry to make the purchase as the Drobo has already exceeded my expectations. And it runs Apps, very cool indeed. I have installed a couple of Apps, one being the Plex Media Server. This App created a database for my music and movie library and made it available to the network. This not what I purchased the Drobo for but it is definitely a plus.

Cons: The price is a little steep but well worth the money. I was a little worried that the Drobo 5N would not meet my expectations but, I worried for nothing. The Drobo 5N is an Excellent choice.

Overall Review: The Drobo 5N is MAC friendly and the dashboard works quite well on my MAC. It's a little slow in finding the Drobo but that's me being impatient. It would be nice if the Dashboard remembered where the Drobo was last, and look there first the next time it searches for Drobos. Just a thought. I am so impressed with my Drobo 5N that I am considering a Drobo 5D which has Thunderbolt (MAC ONLY) and USB 3.0 interface. I have a different brand at this time but now that I have experience the Drobo I realize I should have ... 2 Drobos. I recommend the Drobo.

It Covers and Protects

AGPtek 360 Degrees Swivel Rotating Cover Case for Apple iPad Mini (Black)
AGPtek 360 Degrees Swivel Rotating Cover Case for Apple iPad Mini (Black)

Pros: It covers and Protects and that is what I was looking for. And for the price, on sale at less than $10, it was a good deal. This case is inexpensive but functional and it does function in Landscape mode/position.

Cons: As a stand it only works in Landscape mode/position. In the portrait mode/position it leans back too far and is top heavy ... tips over and does not stand. As a case the thick cover has ridges that will press the Home button when closed turning on the iPad.

Overall Review: I was looking for something inexpensive to protect my iPad and this case did just that. In that light, I must say, I got what I was looking for. However, I will move the iPad into something better as soon as I can. This case was never more than a bare minimum until then.
