Pros: Controller works as promised with better performance. Works with both Server 2008R2 & Win7-64.

Overall Review: I ran some benchmark tests after getting this controller running on an ASUS P5Q Deluxe board. Older board for sure but worked fine on both OS’s. Tested using the following disks using both PassMark & CrystalMark. Disk1 – Seagate USB3 STDR2000100 portable Disk2 – Transcend USB2 TS1TSJ25M2 portable connected to USB3 controller Disk3 – Transcend USB2 TS1TSJ25M2 portable connected to onboard USB2 CrystalMark PassMark Disk1 = 110.30 MB/s 34.18 MB/s Disk2 = 36.60 MB/s 13.78 MB/s Disk3 = 32.20 MB/s 9.92 MB/s So, you can see I am getting between 14%-39% improvement just with this controller depending upon the test used. Switch to a USB3 disk and I’m getting 343%-345% improvement over a USB2 disk and motherboard controller. For $30 am quite happy.

Overall Review: Item arrived within timeframe stated. Ended up ordering a more expensive cable which works. It appears there are a number of companies under the "First From ASIA" banner. Not sure if a mfg or not but won't be purchasing from any more.

Pros: Mounts S1283 significantly better than those @%#$ push-pins.

Cons: None, well not really.

Overall Review: Would suggest not mounting the fan right away as in the instructions. The cooling fins on the P5Q Deluxe make it very hard to get two of the screws in and the wrench is... Leave the fan off, use a screwdriver to mount and then install the fan.

Pros: Definitely keeps things cooler. Std Intel hsf ran 55c now low 30s. Install went smooth. Also went with the crossbow (ACK-17361) as I *hate* the push-pin.

Cons: Fan DOA. Had to knock off 1 egg for that.

Overall Review: Even with fan not spinning temps in low 30's. ASUS Probe showing MB at 40c & CPU at 31c.

It works just fine. Took off 1 egg for the following. - As other have said, socket a bit tight - Backlight would be nice - Better precision, only 2 dec places. Left on for longer time to get more accuracy. All in all it does what it does. Have no complaints.
