Amazing Motherboard

ASUS TUF SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
ASUS TUF SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Pros: All of the UEFI settings were easy to access, you can use your mouse to click things so there's no need for spastically prodding keys to get to the prompt you want.

Cons: It's more a gripe about Asus' website, but finding updated drivers for this thing was a bit of a challenge for me, I couldn't tell if the ones on the disc were the most recent or if they had been updated since then.

Overall Review: If you get this motherboard, make sure you get an 8 Core processor. Personal opinion, but AMD's 8 cores really benefit from this board.

Second Thoughts.

Galaxy GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 56NGH6HS3KXZ
Galaxy GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 56NGH6HS3KXZ

Pros: Ran fine for the first few months, Played any game I threw at it

Cons: A few months in, the Case and fan melted off the rest of the card, (it was connected with tiny screws into very little plastic, who's decision was it to do that?!) and it's had very, VERY bad heat issues since. I tried to jury rig it back together (Twist ties ftw?), and that worked for a while, but now it's finally just died. The fan doesn't spin consistently- it'll spin up, then die, then repeat the process. The card hits 70c on booting, and even thinking about loading a game throws it over 100c (which is not surprising, considering the fan situation)

Overall Review: I had praised this card a month after I bought it. I kind of wish I didn't act so quickly.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler, 4 CDC Heatpipes, 120mm PWM Fan, Aluminum Fins for AMD Ryzen/Intel LGA1200/1151
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler, 4 CDC Heatpipes, 120mm PWM Fan, Aluminum Fins for AMD Ryzen/Intel LGA1200/1151

Pros: Very quiet, keeps my CPU at reasonable temperatures even when under heavy workloads.

Cons: It's a bit big, so if you have a smaller case you may not be able to fit it in.

Best Processor for your money.

AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor
AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor

Pros: This CPU is so incredibly wonderful; it says 4.0GHz here but out of the box with no OCing it pushed 4.1, and after some fiddling it did 4.4 just fine

Cons: Get a aftermarket cooling solution for this CPU. The fan that comes with it just won't be adequate.

Great Case for the Price

NZXT Source 210 S210-001 Black SECC Steel, ABS Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Great Cable routing, meaning less cables are showing in the see through cut out. Lots of fan mounts, great airflow. The labelling for motherboard mounting points saved me a ton of hassle as well.

Cons: The drive bays are toolless, but I'm not sure if I'd trust my harddrive to just sit in there without some kind of support.

Overall Review: The thunb screws holding the side panel on felt like they were machined on, it took me a bit to get them out.

Plenty of Airflow

Diablotek CPA-0390 Black SGCC Steel Legend ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Diablotek CPA-0390 Black SGCC Steel Legend ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case is great, had plenty of room for my Motherboard, had a nice toolless design for the HDD and DVDRom drive, and lots of places for fans and air flow. I've got a 90mm fan in the back, pulling air out and the rest of the case stays extremely cool, just off that one fan.

Cons: I wanted to mount a 120mm fan in the front, to pull air in front of the HDD, but the screw holes were oddly positioned and I couldn't get it in.

Overall Review: It's too bad the back panel doesn't have space to route power cords, there's a large jumble of them tied up and tucked to the side. It's not really a con (which is why it's here) it's just a personal thing.
