Pros: Great item for the price. Very happy with the purchase.

Cons: I also suffered the same shipping issue as others have commented here. The item ships in only its retail display box without any tape holding the bottom closed (and many stickers all over the box making it very unworthy as a gift.) The first one I received arrived broken with the 2 required filters missing. The item had obviously fallen completely out of the box since the box was OK where the damage occurred to the units base. Somehow the entire top of the box (with the UPC symbol needed for the rebate) had also been replaced with plain cardboard. Still no tape on the folded together bottom. The 2nd unit arrived OK but still with the bottom not taped shut as I had strongly requested.

Overall Review: Thanks to Newegg for resolving my issue completely. But all for the lack of any tape on the fold-to-close bottom while the top is fully taped shut.

Pros: Waiting for the rebate to open the box!

Cons: Purchased with a rebate & carefully submitted every required item keeping copies of the submission. They Abbyy claim to have not received it. The envelope had a return address that didn't get it back to me either. Hmm. Makes this waaaay more expensive than I intended.

Overall Review: With the UPC symbol gone, Newegg can't take the unopened product back.

Pros: None.

Cons: It should be expected ABBYY will look for any reason to disallow the rebate. For that reason, my submission a year ago on this same deal was done with extreme care to be 100% correct. After 3 or 4 months with no rebate received, I had some conversations with Newegg that seemed to go nowhere. Even with good documentation of the submission. After I had completely given up, it did finally arrive.

Overall Review: I never did install the software.
