Good NAS Drive

Pros: Good alternative to the WD Reds which seem to be giving users a fair amount of problems. The HGST runs at a speedy 7200 RPM though I haven't noticed much difference in performance in my 4 bay QNAP 459 Pro. It does read about 5 degrees warmer on the status panel. 3 year warranty is decent. Each drive came nicely packaged using a suspension sleeve in the box.
Cons: Runs a bit warmer than WD Red. HGST was bought out by WD recently, but doesn't offer the service of registering your drive online. My drive registry with WD drives goes back over 7 years of drives and lets me know if the drive is under warranty and for how much longer. WD offers advance RMA on their drives. HGST hasn't picked up on this yet. I've used the WD advance RMA and it has been extremely smooth and I wish that HGST will follow that lead in the near future.
Overall Review: My purchase was largely influenced by a report that was recently released by Backblaze. Their main point was that the 4TB drives were least likely to fail. Secondary data point was that though the HGST drives were more expensive, they had the lowest failure rate. I think they were using the 7K4000 series drives which have even more NAS features than vibration sensors. In all fairness, those drives do cost a good deal more than these Deskstar NAS drives. The drive most likely to fail was a surprise and the percentage was significant. I liked the fact that they tested in at least 2 cases, over 20,000 drives by a single manufacturer running over a period of several years. Well written review and a quick search should bring you to that report. So, here we go with 4 HGST 4TB NAS drives and high hopes of riding the coattails of success. Maybe I won't even need the RMA process :)
Ever get that feeling you are already fed up with the product before you even open the package?

Pros: This might be a good motherboard. Others have written good things about it which helped me decide to buy it. But then again, I have not come across a well reviewed motherboard that was DOA, no matter who the manufacturer was.
Cons: The perks. It's supposed to come with a $20 rebate from MSI. After spending over an hour (OK maybe longer because I'm repeating the process in hope of successfully obtaining the REBATE FORM to fill and send in.) I can't believe that a MIR process can be this difficult. It's a multi-step process just to get to the rebate form. I have had to enter the S/N twice in the process, only to find that I now need to enter a second S/N from the MB. Getting somewhere... then it says, tell us more about your purchase and now the S/N and Invoice request again. At this point it shows you the VISA card you may receive but wait, for a fee, they will expedite your card process. Hey, I just want the $20 rebate. But - I can't select the standard process. I press the button for accepting the expedite fee to try to get the submit box to activate. Well, the page changes, I can't get back, I try to use the Track Rebate utility and it says this S/N and Invoice have already been submitted. Dead end. No confirmation email, no rebate form. Now the kicker is that the second perk is a $59 value free game with registration. Well, I can't get that either as I don't have the access code since the registration of the board was unsuccessful. No rebate, no game and a wasted hour of following steps for a failed attempt to get the perks. Just leaves me frustrated and I haven't even unwrapped the board. I've been building computers since the 386sx-20 was introduced. My degree is in CS and I've finally been beat by the fill out the rebate form, attach the barcode label and invoice, sign and mail process. I don't get why this process has become this convoluted. Oh, I do hope the board works so I don't have to come back and add notes on issues with the hardware. I just want to stick it in the case and not have to see it as it is just a reminder of my first experience with MSI products and rebates.
Overall Review: Yes, I see the support number and the web link for rebate assistance, but I rarely hear good things that come from convincing customer service for this type of issue.. I simply want the blank registration form and my game access code - and no, I've never actually used a gaming code since CIV III or Thief were the big offerings. It's just that I want what is supposed to be included with the product. I hope your mileage is better than mine in this instance.
Best GoPhone card source!

Pros: 1) Lightning fast delivery of PIN to my inbox. 8 minutes from payment to PIN. 2) No hidden fee imposed (ATT and 2 online competitors add an additional fee to the final price - never heard of this type of fee, sort of like reading a cable bill) 3) PIN worked with no problems at all 4) Didn't have to wait for a physical card to arrive
Cons: None at all
Overall Review: Tried buying this from the online sales of a brick and mortar store. 48 hours later, I still hadn't received my PIN in spite of contacting their customer service. Was told that my credit card payment had to clear. I had paid using PayPal and even their FAQ site said that PayPal transactions are an immediate form of payment. After 3 attempts to get the PIN (with a "recovery tax" of some sort, I cancelled and found Newegg selling these cards. What a difference! Thank you Newegg!
It works for me

Pros: Quiet, cool, well priced for a 3TB drive and is designed for RAID operation. Happy customer.
Cons: None so far with the drive. Would like to see Newegg use the WD method of boxing single drives. As is.the bubble wrap is quite often smashed on at least one side. Still, the drives survived that!
Overall Review: Running 4 in a QNAP TS-459 Pro II which supports hot swapping, 6Gb/sec SATA, volume encryption. Plugged in 3TB Red drives and let the RAID rebuild from the 1TB Greens. No problem with migrating and everything is still running smoothly.
Exceeds Expectations

Pros: This kit gives the hobbyist a nice selection of fine work tools. I was shopping for a set of jewelers screwdrivers to replace my Xcelite when I noticed these for less than $10. At the time, I merely wanted fine Phillips screwdrivers but this kit gave me those plus a great selection of Torx bits. I love getting the magnets from old hard drives and these bits did the trick. What a bonus! The bits themselves are quite good quality (but not industrial quality - seriously, if you that, buy tools that are designed for that type of frequent use). I have not had any rounding issues with them. Yes, the handle is a bit, um, economical as is the case, but on the positive side, each row of bits is held with its own set of decent retainers. To get around the friction grip issue with the handle, use the provided extension. It works flawlessly, gripping the bit securely.
Cons: Wanted to buy a second set for my buddy who was quite impressed with all the functionality in one kit. The price has gone up since I made my purchase. No worries, it will come back down again.
Overall Review: Highly recommend this for the person who needs a versatile set of tools to do occasional work on their PC. With free shipping, this is a well spent $10 To the person who mentioned it includes no security bits, this kit makes no claims to providing them. They are available in their own kit in a variety of configurations.
One year later...

Pros: Just providing some positive feedback on this product. Many times the feedback seems to be left by people that are dissatisfied with a product. I have had the opposite experience and wanted to share that. I purchased a Dell XPS laptop with Core i7 processor and the base 2x2GB DDR3 memory. I upgraded immediately to a pair of these when they were selling over $100 each. It was a good price back then and my system has worked with this memory flawlessly. It scores very near the top end on the Win 7 performance experience. Today, the big brother to this, a pair of 8 gig modules from G.Skill is selling for $79.99 (Shell Shocker deal) - I didn't hesitate to press "Buy" as I wanted to eliminate my swap file having just installed a 240GB SSD and not wanting to give up any of it to a swap file! Good job G.Skill!
Cons: None
Overall Review: I have been purchasing G.Skill memory for several years now. I've relied on the old tried and true companies in the past, but G.Skill has caught my attention to their innovations and quickness to get new memory products out to market. When they came up with the DDR3 desktop memory that specifically targeted the 2nd generation of Core i3, i5 and i7 processors and the associated chipset, I was intrigued and have bought several sets over the past year. So far, I have yet to experience a memory related failure with G.Skill products. Thanks for the very competitive pricing on your product lines - great performance and reliability at a competitive price. That's what it takes to keep me as a repeat customer! Thanks G.Skill :)
Good stuff! Thanks for the fast shipping.
Exceeded all expectations - Breed has a good phone here
I have to admit that I was pretty skeptical about ordering this phone as the new version is around the corner. However, at the weekend sale, the price was lower than any I had previously seen. Decided to give it a try and hope for a phone in decent condition with charging cord and maybe a user manual. Got much more than that - I received the sealed retail package with all accessories and protective plastic over the phone. Battery charged beautifully and I was pleased that I got the same product that I would have picked up from a cell carrier at 1/2 the price. Package was shipped from the US via priority mail with tracking. I was home when it was delivered but there was no requirement to have to sign for the phone which I appreciate. Contact Breed if you want to request signature delivery. Anyway, I am pleased with my retail packaged new phone, shipped in its protective bubble wrap package. I am pleased with Breed for no surprises and prompt delivery. I also am pleased with this US Version of the unlocked LG V20 phone.
