Overall Review: Missing power adapters on both units ordered. called hp 800 number and they will send out the adapters. This is strange that so many people have had this happen. I guess hp knows about the problem and fixes it with no hassle.

Pros: Price

Cons: Drive went DOA while installing OS. My other drive is a WD 1.5TB advanced format drive which went bad after about 6 mos. All the testing software provided by WD claimed their was no problem with that drive, but after having a professional look at it I found out it was. That cost me a few bucks that I could have used. Now this one crapped out after a few minutes. I did the RMA with Newegg and am awaiting the replacement. But its a hassle to say the least.

Overall Review: I've been a loyal customer of WD for years. Had the occasional failure. No big deal. But 2 failures so close together. Somethings wrong at WD. I like their prices but its of no use to me if I can't rely on their drives. I back up but it takes time to reinstall everything and presents other problems. If I hadn't already paid for it I wouldn't get another. Its easier to rely on one company and not to have to do the research for whats out there, but this isn't worth it. Although I don't mind paying more for reliability I noticed WD's more expensive black caviar has similar failure problems. This will be my last WD drive.
