Incorrect wiring.
Pros: Quality of cable is good.
Cons: Doesn't work for USB A to B devices. Per USB 3.0 Specification USB Standard-A to Standard-B cable there should be a direct match from USB A pin number to USB B pin number. This cable swaps (5,6) & (8,9) which would normally be used in USB A-A cables for Host-to-Host applications.
Works well if kept RAID setup simple.
Pros: If you keep your RAID setup super simple it will work great without issues. i.e. have all drives in one RAID array, use the max space on all drives, and set defaults sector sizes.
Cons: Do not have RAID 5 and RAID 6 array on the same drives! Had 1 drive failure, I swapped in a new harddrive, and the RAID 5 array rebuilt properly. But RAID 6 array disspeared, I had to contact the email only support to get RAID 6 array back online, and it was not a simple process for me, i.e. I has OS boot drive on the RAID 5, data on the RAID 6.
