ASUS m5a99fx pro r2.0
Pros: I upgraded to the M5A99FX from the MSI 970A-G43 so I can overclock my fx-6300. Very Nice color scheme and heatsinks. I was able to achieve a 4.4 stable OC with a phantek PH-TC12DX.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Very nice board if you plan to overclock. FX-6300 ASUS M5A99FX pro r2.0 Nvidia GTX 660 OC Phantek PH-TC12DX EVGA 600w PSU WD 1tb HD Thermaltake Commander MS-I NZXT sentry mix 2
didnt last long
Pros: Decent length if you have short headphones
Cons: didnt even last 1 month, guess that explains the price
winner winner, chicken dinner (great gaming CPU)
Pros: Eats any game I throw at it, even the most CPU intensive games. 6 cores. Overclocks if you need i to. 4.3 GHz turbo.
Cons: Limited production I guess.
Overall Review: I was surprised I got one considering the limited production, but i've had my 8600k for about 2 weeks now. This is my first Intel product and its worth every penny (if you can manage to find one in stock). My first build was an FX-6300 paired with two gtx 660s, which was a great budget build for 1080p gaming, but it began to show its age when I played PUBG, the horribly un-optimized game. I have nothing bad to say about AMD, but it was definitely time to upgrade, and this is the CPU I chose. I paired this CPU with a GTX 1080 and I can runs games on ultra settings with ease. I do have a 1080p 60hz monitor, but I plan on getting either a 4k or 3440 x 1440 monitor in the near future, so I will come back adjust my review accordingly. I haven't found the need to overclock just yet, but if & when I do, I will come back and edit my review. ALSO "Just bought mine, will update when i receive it." & "Mine shipped today!! Cheapest price as well." aren't reviews lol
Coffee Lake Owners BEWARE
Pros: Looks nice Cools my 8600k 4 heat pipes
Cons: Spacers are required to sit the brackets on top of the hexagon pillars. Without these the entire assembly loosely hangs on the mobo. Cryorig does not supply these.
Overall Review: Giving this a 3.5/5 because of the missing hardware. Luckily I had some spacers from a phantek cooler I bought in 2015. Cryorig needs to make this cooler coffee lake friendly. I advise any other coffee lake users to look into another cooler in the mean time, unless you have spacers.
Buy this
Pros: Fantastic cooling capability. Keeps my OC'd FX-6300 cool @ 4.4, 12 degrees Celsius idle . Ran prime 95 for about 30 mins and didnt go past 51. Good color seletion. (I chose blue and white). I have the fans running at max speed and it isnt as loud as I expected it to be.
Cons: Just barely fits in my thermaltake commander MS-I. If you have a high profile ram it might block the first ram slot.
Overall Review: Will give this product 5 stars because it did fit in my case and I was didnt have to move my ram. FX-6300 @4.4 ASUS M5A99FX pro r2.0 Nvidia GTX 660 OC WD 1tb HDD EVGA 600w PSU Thermaltake commander MS-I NZXT Sentry Mix 2
Cooler master sickleflow
Pros: Good fan Moves air efficiently Quiet
Cons: Second fan was loud
Overall Review: So the first sickle flow I purchased was great, so I decided to purchase a second which turned out to be annoyingly loud. What happened?
