Looking for a gaming laptop. Look no further.
Pros: Price 3GB GTX 970GPU I7 5700HQ 3x M.2 SSD slots (2x dedicated, 1x combo slot with RAID support) Full 1080p
Cons: Lack of actual specification for the laptop there are many benefits that are not listed on newegg here of how to do certain upgrades or even from MSI you have to dig pretty deep on google to get the information to include taking the back off (punching through anti-tampering sticker) to do upgrades will not void the warranty. See here https://service.msicomputer.com/msi_user/support/techfaqdetail.aspx?formid=3070
Overall Review: I have had the laptop for almost a month and I have to say this is one of the best laptops not just for gaming but for looks. It also had some hidden gems to include the 3x M.2 slots I found to upgrade HDD space to go along with a regular HDD slot on the laptop. The fans engineered in a way that it keeps the GPU cool and CPU even under a heavy load. I have been playing GW2 the fans do turn on and can be heard if there is no other noise but keeps the CPU around 70C and GPU around 70C with an air temp of about 21C. The keyboard feels fantastic compared to some laptop keys and with the cosmetics of having the steel series controls for the LED is just a fun extra playing with the lights. Overall, I wold look no further for an excellent gaming laptop that does not break the bank.
Fast as heck!
Pros: Super fast M.2 SSD for an excellent price Easy Install Fantastic Packaging
Cons: None
Overall Review: While looking for a M.2 SSD look no further, you will get there speeds they advertise or dang near. I recommend everyone whom uses a Samsung to use the Samsung magician software as it makes updating drivers, changing profiles and changes so easy compared to doing it manually.
Excellent 16GB DDR4 Kit
Pros: Good speed Excellent Price
Cons: Not on approved list on many MBs by PNY however not really a con against the memory itself
Overall Review: Even though it want's on the approved list it works flawlessly and with the XMP activated.
Excellent GTX 970
Pros: Excellent stability and OC ability Fantastic cooling with the dual fan Thick PCB board for support of the card Fantastic digital plug having DVI-D, HDMI and display port
Cons: None
Overall Review: When I was looking for a card, I was looking at EVGA originally but found quickly MSI came very close. After researching specs vs. price point and a sale Newegg put on this card for the $230 price point it cannot be beat at all. This card has been running sound and stable out of the box. I am very impressed with how cool and quite the cooler is.
Best Sandy Bridge !
Pros: When I was looking at a CPU kept going back and forth between the Ivy Bridge 3770k and this one. In the end it was the Hex core that sold me. This CPU out of the box has tons of power that most user's would not be able to utilize. Very easy to OC with great results! Same day ran 4.5GHz at 1.35V. The extreme version of this processor just isn't worth it. Either the 3960x or new 3970x you can reach the same speeds with this 3930k! For about $450 less! Highly recommend!
Cons: None
Excellent RAM
Pros: Took me quite awhile to search for RAM debating between Corsair Vengeance and Ripjaw. In the end decided which ever one came on sale first. I was look for 1866 however when this hit on sale cheaper then most 1600 couldn't pass it up! Little tweaking in bios and good to roll!
Cons: None
